About Us

POLaRT Designs began life recently in 2011 with a relentless wish to present Vic-torian style furniture in a manner that was relevant and alive to the WORLD. As a subsidiary of parent company AyC

Internacional, the young brand had access to over 3 decades legacy of old school furniture construction techniques, and 120 artisans with a combined 300 years of experience.

POLaRT´s every day objective is to combine this skillful  team with a young design and sales offi-ce. We combine 100-year-old carpentry techniques, Polyurethane injection in German machines, Enginee-ring, Steel welding, and a bit of rock and roll. The end result has been described as: fantastic, odd, daring, classic, beautiful, but certainly never dull.

As bold and brave as the colorful furniture it spe-cializes  in,  the  company  jumped  headfirst  into  the hospitality and design industry.

From producing stately armchairs fit for monar-chs for outdoor use, to hand carved and polished insi-de out bookcases, the range of customization POLaRT offers it´s clients is purposely versatile. Each product is produced in enormous molds and each item has an internal steel frame. Furniture is then hand san-ded, hand painted, and hand upholstered. Though the brand´s intent is to continuously innovate, we do so without losing our reverence for the past.

ABOUT POLaRT

Our manufacturing process allows us to specialize in producing

highly detailed polyurethane items en masse while keeping a

long tradition for classic detail and old school principles. Each of

our items features a tubular frame on the inside. As in real life,

what is most important here is that which cannot be seen: the

inner soul.

Plastic A worry free fun item, with the same outdoor characteristics but without uphols-tery. The unibody construction features plastic “saddle” seats..

W.e dreamed up an impromptu pho-to shoot, packed a few trucks with some gorgeous

POLART pieces, some tequila, and our design team then drove to the mountains ! Real de Catorce, 3 hours away from the factory, is a quaint ghost town that was once the mining capital of Mexico. It´s old buildings once housed wealthy Spanish nobility and shops fi-lled with European Luxury goods.

hand remixes the classic con-

cept of a Porters Chair, used to

With a freshly squee-zed batch of PO-LART mainstream pieces, we rented out the fair grounds

in our home town of San Luis Po-tosi, Mexico and went to work.

Advantages of Polymer Structures:POLaRT gives you all of the aesthetics of a gor-

geous classic furniture piece without any of the hassle that comes with loose wooden joints and maintenance that wood requires. Plus, they’re 

totally green. We cut no trees to produce these. The internal tubular steel frame gives added

wear life and weight resistance.

The Dam in San Luis Potosi Mexico took in our all plastic items for our first outdoor photo shoot. Because PO-LART is all polyurethane, we

can sit them in a dam and not give a DAMN !

We´ve taken the joy and presence of

our Meridienne Chaise lounge and

produced it in outdoor version. It´s

clean lines are upholstered in Sun-

brella Fabric. It´s perfectly at home

under the sun whether that sun is

shining in Dubai, France, or Mexico.

This catalog could not be complete

without our most beloved items, the

Bookie Bourbon Bookcase. The more

and more we look at these pieces;

the more they stick to us. We took a

standard French Victorian style boo-

kcase and clock and worked it bac-

kwards. Produced almost entirely

in enormous molds, the insides are

hand painted for a simulated wood

finish. Contours are pain stakingly

hand carved and buffed. Though we

seemingly went back in time, we did

so with an eye towards the future.

POLaRT Furniture Cleaning InstructionsPOLaRT Frames and Vinyl upholstery can be cleaned in the same way as leather or with a commercial cleaner developed especially for cleaning vinyl. The best way to clean vinyl upholstery is with baking soda on a cloth, followed by a light washing with dishwashing liquid. Never use oil; it will harden the upholstery. Staining and soiling exposures are common to upholstery fabrics; most stain and soiling may be removed by using the sim-ple cleaning methods that follow:FRAME CLEANING can be done with water, mild dish detergent or car wash soap, and a terry cloth or microfiber towel.  As the frames are of polyurethane (plastic) they only re-quire light cleaning and little to no maintenance. For Gloss finishes, to restore gloss and buff out light scuffmarks use car wax: apply, buff, and wipe clean with microfiber towel.

Upholstery:• A solution of 10% household liquid dish soap with warm water applied with a soft damp cloth will remove most soiling. • If necessary, a solution of liquid cleanser and water applied with a soft bristle brush. Wipe away the residue with a water-dampened cloth. • NOTE: To restore luster, a  light coat of spray furniture wax can be used. Apply for 30 seconds and follow with a light buffing using a clean white cloth.
