Honsel Umformtechnik GmbH is a manufacturerof joining elements and delievers also, in itscapacity as system supplier, rive ng equipmentand units. The spectrum covers manually operated rivunits, partly automated solu ons and fully auto-ma e ystems. On request, the rive ng equipment can also beequipped with “DMSD” process monitoring orwith the “Poka-Yoke” system. Not only ready are taken from the kit inorder to meet the customer requests. Also special machines are developed completelya er customers’ need. On base of tested systems, customized solu -ons are developed. Also moderniza ons andexpansions of exis ng installa ons are amongthe special performances.

Tool for rivet nuts VNG 802 DMSD

An integrated strain gauge measuring strip (DMS) for the forcemeasurement and an integrated distance measuring systemmake it possible to record and check the en re force-distancecurve of the se ng process and if the correct number of rivetshas been placed.The process result of DMSD USB process monitoring is equippedwith a Honsel control and will be displayed on a two-colored LEDat the rivet tool. A PC with the DMSD PC program is required to visualize theforce-distance curves and adept them to the se ocess. The current version of DMSD process monitoring is eqquippedwith an Siemens PLC S7 313C and a touch panel TP277. The force-distance curves have already been visualized by thetouch panel.
