Home Parenteral NutritionHome Parenteral Nutrition usually requires the use of a large infusion pump or a gravity driven method to infusea large feeding bag. These systems are suspended on a IV Pole stand, limiting the patient’s mobility and comfort. As HPN is per-formed in an environment with an increased risk of infection, patients or their relatives need a straightforward and safe set up.HPN therapy is usually delivered daily, over 12 hours or more. It should offer the patient mobility at night as well as during socialand outdoor activities, such as school or work during the day.
