Terms and Conditions

General:1.1 Plus points Rewards Programme (PPs) is open to all Credit Cards issued by Standard Charted Bank Sal – Lebanon herein after referred to as Credit Card, Cardholder & bank respectively.1.2 These Terms and Conditions are supplemental to and in no way to exclusion of the general Terms and Conditions contained in the Credit Card agreement. To the extent, if any of any inconsistency between the Terms and Conditions mentioned here and the general Credit Card agreement, the provisions and de�nitions contained in the Credit Card agreement shall apply to exclusion of these conditions> Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall be amend, vary, revoke or otherwise change the Credit Card agreement, which remains in full force.1.3 The PPS is established by the Bank to reward the Cardholders for using the Bank’s Credit Card. Under the PPS, the Cardholder earns points (Plus Points) which can be redeemed for gifts.1.4 The PPS is open to all Credit Cardholders who meet all the requirements of and are in good standing under the Credit Card agreement. Such Cardholders will be automatically enrolled into the PPS.1.5 Enrolment into the programme is free as is for Primary and Supplementary Cardholders.

Accumulation and Expiry of Plus points:2.1 Plus Points accumulated by the Cardholder have an expiry date of 24 months from the time of accumulation.2.2 For every USD 1 the Cardholder spends on his/her Credit Card, he/she will be awarded 1 Plus Point. on Visa Flexi, Classic, Gold cards and 2 points on Visa Platinum Plus Points are awarded for both retail and cash transactions. Balance transfers are also included. Other promotional schemes will be included from time to time. The Bank reserves the right to change at any time and without prior notice the ratio between Plus Points to be awarded and the amount the Cardholder should spend on the Credit Card to accumulate those points. The Cardholder will start earning Plus Points from the date of star of the programme announced by the Bank, which is 16 October 2005 – it is based on posting date not transaction date.2.3 Charges to Credit Card which are not eligible for Plus Points include, but are not limited to interest fees, late payment charges, �nance charges, annual/joining Card membership fees, over limit charges, reserved transactions fraudulent and/or disputed transaction. The Bank may add to or remove from the above list of eligible charges and transactions from time to time at its discretion. The Bank’s decision as to what constitutes an eligible charge shall be �nal and conclusive.2.4 Plus Points are not transferable nor exchangeable.2.5 Plus points awarded to the Cardholder will be shown in the monthly billing statement sent to the Cardholder, and will be redeemable as speci�ed in the Plus points Catalogue which will be mailed to the cardholder from time to time. Only Plus Points accumulated up to and shown in the latest issued monthly statement or such other date as determined by Bank at its discretion will be redeemable. Details of redemption transactions in any billing cycle will appear in the Credit Card statement of the following billing cycle. The PRIMARY Cardholder can check his/her plus Points Balance by calling 03-676100. The credit card statement gives de�nitive balance of Plus Points (in the absence of manifest error).

Redemption of Plus points:3.1 Plus points earned by a supplementary Cardholder will be credited to the account of the primary Cardholder and may only be redeemable by the Primary Cardholder.3.2 For the Cardholder who has two Credit Cards l.e. Standard Charted Visa & Standard Charted MasterCard, the accumulation of Plus Point from each individual card can be combined together for the purpose of redemption.

3.3 Plus points accumulated under credit Card are only redeemable by Primary Cardholder and only if the Credit card is operating (l.e there are no past due balances on the credit Card).3.4 Before redeeming plus points, the Primary Cardholder must also meet the minimum Plus Points balance requirements. The Bank shall set the minimum Plus Points balance from time to time. To claim a speci�ed gift, the Cardholder must have accumulated the required number of Plus Points or should be able to use the Quick Lane-if applicable.3.5 The “Quick Lane” redemption option is only available for speci�c gifts in the PPS Catalogue. The Credit Card is to be used to pay the USD nortion of the item selected. Use of a Credit Card for “Quick Lane” payment will generate Plus Points.

Fulfillment of Redemption Requests:4.1 Gift items have to be picked up from selected merchant(s).4.2 The Bank will mail a con�rmation letter, within 10 working days from the date the Primary Cardholder redemption request was approved by the bank, authorizing the Cardholder to pick up the gift item from the relevant merchant partner within 10 working days from the date the primary Cardholder redemption request was approved by the bank authorizing the Cardholder to pick up the gift item from the relevant merchant partner within 10 working days from the date of the request.4.3 Redemption once ful�lled may not be cancelled or exchanged by the Cardholder except with speci�c agreement of the Bank.4.4 Redemption orders for any gift stated under the PPS catalogue is subject to Bank’s approval and availability of the gift and supplier’s restrictions. Bank may without notice withdraw or substitute any gift for another gift of comparable value or nature.4.5 Redemption requests once approved or ful�lled cannot be cancelled by the Cardholder.4.6 Bank reserves the right to disqualify any Cardholder from further participation in the PPS, if in its sole judgment that Cardholder has in any way violated the rules and conditions herein, or has violated the general Terms & Conditions of the Credit Card. Suspension and disquali�cation could lead to the Cardholder forfeiting all the Plus Points earned.

Warranties:5.1 Bank gives no warranty (whether expressed or implied) whatsoever with respect to gifts.5.2 The Bank does not accept liability of any nature incurred by the Cardholder arising out of the purchase, installation, or use of the gifts.

Other Indemnities:6.1 Bank, at any time without prior notice to the Cardholder, may alter the number of Plus Points, or cash contribution required to obtain a gift or impose additional restrictions on a gift or conditions of obtaining it.6.2 Bank is entitled at any time and without any prior notice or liability to the cardholder in any manner whatsoever terminate PPS or cancel or vary its bene�ts, features, or add or delete any of those Terms and Conditions, or withdraw the Cardholder form PPS, or modify or limit the value of Plus Point, and/or the manner of their redemption even though such acts may diminish the value of the Plus Points already accumulated.6.3 The PPS Catalogue and its contents may be charged by the bank without prior notice. The Bank reserves the right to charge the format or elements of PPS Catalogue from time to time as appropriate without prior notice.6.4 Bank shall not be liable if it is unable to perform its obligations under these Terms and Conditions system, industrial dispute, war or act of God, or anything outside the control of Bank. Nor shall the Bank be responsible for any delay by the participation merchants or any third party in transmitting evidence on any Credit Card transaction.6.5 if at any time dispute arises in connection with either the PPS or these Terms and Conditions, Bank’s decision in connection with the same shall be �nal and binding.
