Board the Rivercat Ferry for a four-hour-eco-experience to the Featherbed Nature Reserve. This experience includes a
return ferry trip, nature drive in a 4x4 vehicle, a 2.2km guided walk through the reserve, coastal forest and fynbos into the
ancient sea caves (1 hour downhill walk) and a world renowned buffet lunch under a canopy of the Milkwood trees.
After lunch we transfer to Kanonkop for overnight.
Overnight at Kanonkop House
Includes: Breakfast & all local beverages
Day 2
After breakfast transfer up to the Tsitsikamma National Park for a morning of adventure! Kayak up the beautiful Storms River
Gorge passing deep caves and ancient forests then explore deeper into the narrow gorge with our unique lilos.
Starting on the kayaks we paddle up the river, passing the bats' cave, steep cliffs and majestic views. At the rocks we
disembark from our kayaks and jump on the inflatable lilos to explore deeper into the gorge and experience a part of the
Storms River that you can’t get to by boat! Gently wading deeper into the untouched gorge and finishing off with some cliff
jumps we return back to our shop.
After a lunch stop (lunch own account) in the area, continue to Tenikwa where you join a guided tour.
During your 1-hour guided tour learn about the indigenous wild cats of South Africa and a tour of the wildlife centre at
Plettenberg Bay. See African wild cats, servals, caracals, cheetahs, lions and the centre’s leopard, as well as other wildlife
such as meerkats, marabou storks and much, much more!
This is a unique opportunity to get close to some amazing creatures, and learn about their struggle to survive in the wild.
You will be taken into the habitats of the various cats, and where, for safety reasons, this is not possible, a walkway will give
you opportunity to see and photograph the cats whilst your guide explains interesting information about the species and
their role in promoting bio-diversity.
The program includes a visit to the Penguin Splash Pool where you have the opportunity to learn more about the marine
conservation work that Tenikwa is involved with and a window into the Wildlife Rehabilitation work that we do.
After the tour you’ll be dropped off at Kanonkop with some time to enjoy the views and sunset.
