Erasmus+: the picture so far
• €120.1m has been awarded so far in 2016 to a total of 866 applications
• Overall 51% of applications were successful (64% KA1, 32% KA2, 40% for KA3)

2016 results:• Applications submitted in 2016 have increased by
15% • 53 applicants in Wales have been awarded €8.4m in
Erasmus+ funding in 2016 so far
2014-2016 Performance:• From 2014-2016 a total of €20.4m has been
awarded to 134 projects led by Welsh organisations
• 4,700 individual placements for learners, staff and young people from wales to study, volunteer or train abroad between 2014-2015.

Status of E+ post referendum• An increased interest in the
programme - particularly from the press
• The 2017 programme year will be implemented as intended, and successful applicants will be awarded funding
• Erasmus+ will be part of the wider negotiations which have yet to begin
• It is important to maintain momentum in the programme
• You do not need to be a MS to participate in E+ (examples of Norway, Iceland and Turkey)
