A Gospel Movement

Nearly 600 Metro Washington DC churches andministries are now standing in unity with thecommon purpose of Gospel Saturation.

Practically, we see OneHeartDC providing aplatform helping the Church display a "witness ofoneness" (John 17:21-23), making Christ more

visible and tangible to a Region that desperately needs the Gospel. We have seen God workin the hearts of leaders in uncommon ways. The silos and barriers of the past are fallingdown as we collaborate, mobilize, multiply and seek transformation together. We are 'bettertogether'.

A significant bi-product has been the relational capital of leaders knowing each other whowould never have crossed paths - across denominational, generational, racial and ethnicdiversities. In particular, leaders are forgiving, repenting and seeking justice to restorebroken relationships and systems back to God's original intent through racial reconciliation.

walking in the same shoes.

There are dozens of exiting clusters formed with Christ and the gospel at the center andfueled in prayer and relationships. In ministry, the clusters have geographic, people groupor need based affinities. Find one below or start one!

If you are procrastinating, take a few minutes to hear what Pastor Steve King, CherrydaleBaptist Church, Arlington and few of our colleagues have to say. Steve has led a cluster,Band of Brothers for 33 years! They are accountable to God and each other for GospelSaturation of Arlington County.

Called to serve as a Catalyst?

Page 7: Please Support OneHeartDC - · PDF fileLatino Millennials Metro Josue Urrutia pastor@mizpa.cc LCN Cohort NoVA Greg Wigfield greg@gregwigfield.com Loudoun Pastors Consortium Loudoun

OneHeartDC Catalysts are criticallyimportant to growth of the movement. Just like in a chemical reaction, we oftenneed a stimulus, a spark, an impetus thataccelerates the gospel movement.

Within one's spheres of influence, and whilegoing about their everyday ministryactivities, Catalysts are:

Connectors and Accelerators. They Strengthen Collaboration. They Start & Nourish Leadership Clusters.

These actions are the 'fertilizer' that helps to increase the yield of fruit. Our churchesand ministries are the 'seeds' that God 'waters'. Yes, these seeds are producing fruit, but watered and fertilized, the yield is higher.

Our goal will be for you to be empowered to speak on behalf of OneHeartDC and to bereleased to do these things where the Spirit leads you. Soon we will be having oursecond Catalyst gathering:

When:January 10, 2018 12:15 - 2:00pm

Lunch will be provided.

Where: Christ Our Shepherd Church801 North Carolina Ave SE

Washington, DC 20003(2 blocks from the Eastern Market Metro Station)

At our meeting, we will pray together and talk about the 'operating system' and 'apps'in our tool chest.

If you feel the Spirit tugging, please join us and RSVP by January 3rd to EricTeitelman. Eric will be helping us stay connected as a team through relationships andinformation.

Tools & Resources focused onthe outcome of GospelSaturation

The Christ Together Resources aredesigned to initiate conversations and create environments for kingdom leaders topray, learn, strategize and act in concert with God's mission in their community, town, city or region.

The Field Guide

The Field Guide is the perfect resource for your cluster. It is not about prescribingspecific strategies or practices for everyone to follow. Rather, they are aboutuncovering and living into scriptural convictions about God's mission, the church, andleadership that will guide us toward seeing God's people live out their identity and

destiny as God's sent people. The Field Guide helps you explore the four corestrategies needed for Gospel Saturation.

Are You Sure? Parents Building Resilient Teens

This is an opportunity to BE the Church and offer a service that is highly relevant to ourcongregations and the community at-large.

This two-hour long workshop is designed as a wake-up call for parents to a perfectstorm - an increasingly challenging environment in school, with friends and at home, coupled with lower resilience to cope and thrive. The results have been higher rates ofdepression, anxieties and fears. We are seeing tragic outcomes with suicides, drugoverdoses and other risky behaviors are at record levels.

Parents will leave better equipped to guide their teens and having heard how theGospel speaks into solutions.

Promo materials, the workshop presentation and resources are available here:

Pure Desire

68% of church going men and 30%of women struggle from the pain ofsexual addiction and intimacydisorders and the accompanying

betrayal and shame. Barna reports that only 7% of churches are effectively ministeringto these unspoken truths within our congregations and communities.

Pure Desire exists to help local churches, and too frequently overloaded leaders with afull complement of Christ-centered and research backed resource materials, treatmentoptions, partnership opportunities, and conference presentations. Here is a link to ashort video on the nature of the problem:

There are three progressive offerings of interest.

1. Introduction at your leadership cluster or church by Capt. Brent Breining,USN, Ret. and men's pastor at The Lighthouse Fellowship, Alexandria([email protected]) and C. B. Nagel, Cru ([email protected]) willfacilitate for you.

2. A 5-week DVD teaching series that offers men proven principles and practicaltools to break free from pornography. This study will unlock hope and freedomand may be key to any more intensive next steps. It can be done in small or
