Lost property is now located in the gym foyer! Has your child lost their jumper?

Please come in and have a look for your child’s

jumper. Items that are clearly labelled with names have been returned to classrooms.

Please also check your own child’s jumper to ensure they have brought home the correctly labelled item.

The weather is still very cold. A number of students are coming to school each day without a jumper or in the wrong school colours. Please ensure your child is

Local Community Excursion On Tuesday the Preps had their first excursion to visit some places in our local community. With our fingers crossed that it wouldn’t rain we headed down to Frankston Foreshore to meet Geoff, the park ranger, who spoke

to us about the local environment. We also enjoyed a walk along the foreshore before the “light” rain and breeze began!! We got back on the

bus to go to McClelland Gallery and Sculpture Park where we had a fantastic time exploring and looking around all the huge sculptures. The kids were beautifully behaved, had a fantastic time but were exhausted

from all their adventures.

KPG News KP-TV Channel (in – house)

We are looking to introduce an in- house TV channel for the children to produce items and deliver them to the school and community. We would also like to aim for this to be uploaded to our Facebook and website to promote what we do at Kingsley Park. In conjunction with Matt Brand, the KPG are currently getting quotes as the specialized equipment can be quite expensive, however we are looking to re – purpose equipment we have here at the school. If anyone has any connection with Tech companies, please let us know. Money raised from our upcoming Parent Night will go towards purchasing the equipment we need. If you would like to see a sample of a TV Channel in action check out the Coral Park Primary School Facebook page.

Everyone should love themselves No matter what happens,

For all their life they should Treasure themselves,

And the people they love around them.

The Violin Man It was a cold winter night and the people in the queue for the theatre could hear the light softly buzzing above them. As the night slowly progressed we see a man

walking through streets with his dog and his violin case while quietly humming a tune he had heard coming from inside the theatre. The man started walking to the place he called home when he saw a graceful young women dancing with the most ele-gance you will ever see. He however was not scared or startled by this being. In fact, he didn’t even flinch at her magnificent beauty as he felt he had seen this silhouette hundreds of times before. He got to his home swiftly and fell asleep. As he drifted off to sleep he started having the most incredi-ble dream. He saw many incredible things that had floated through his mind that day. His dream was truly a marvel and he knew just what he had to do. He set off to the theatre and asked if he could play for some money. They asked him to show them what he could do. He played so well that he had been accepted. He waited until it was time to go on. He was ready. He heard silence as the orchestra began to walk slowly off stage. Nerves were starting to take over. He walked out and was met with 500 pairs of eyes staring at him. He began to play. The soft sound of his violin echoed through the silent building. As he stopped he heard a slow clap begin. Sud-denly the whole audience erupted into a huge amount of applause. After his magical performance on stage he walked back to the place where he had been in the beginning and he start-ed to play. It was a truly wonderful sound. You could hear the emotion he was putting into it. The girl appeared in front of him. He recognised her. He broke down crying. He never knew who it was until now. It was his daughter that had passed away all those years ago.

Our footy Pie Day was organised by the SRC. The initiative to fundraise for Amaze was led by Amy B from M11. Amy is raising the awareness of Austism as she herself has Autism. It has been very brave of Amy to talk about this but she is very keen to ensure we are all aware of Autism and what it means. Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a lifelong condition that can appear in early childhood. People who have ASD can find it difficult to socialise and can become very anxious. Certain tastes, smells or sounds can affect people on the spectrum. Why do we use the word spectrum?People can often think there is not much autism or very autistic, like a line from 1 to 10. The word spectrum actually means there are lots of different types of autism with a wide range of similar challenges, like a rainbow ball. You can find out more about Autism through Amy’s presentation on our school Facebook page. Congratulations to Amy on her excellent presentation and helping to raise funds to assist Amaze assist those with Autism. To watch this presentation please check on the link https://vimeo.com/234790177

AMAZE is a Victorian not-for-profit organisation. They raise money to assist others. Amaze provides services like support groups, formation for families and working with the government to help with people who are diagnosed with ASD.
