REQUEST FOR BIDSTOWN OF PALISADE

PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT

The Town of Palisade, Colorado, is accepting bids for new playground equipment forthe following parks: Memorial Park and Peach Bowl Park. The equipment for Palisade

Veterans Memorial Park will consist of a school aged playground, Kompan GalaxySeries Enif (or similar product) and double bay swingset with 2 toddler swings and 2regular swings. The equipment for Peach Bowl Park will consist of two playground atoddler element that is Little Tikes Commerical Playbuilders PB 1008 or equivalent andschool aged element, Kompan Edge Series Sierra or equivalent. In addition to theplayground equipment for Peach Bowl, there will be a single bay swing set with two beltseats. These products will be provided in accordance with the terms, conditions, andproposed statement of work contained in this bid request document.

Quotations must be submitted by providing a response in accordance with the termsand conditions and the statement of work, placed in a sealed envelope bearing the

return address of the bidder, and clearly marked Response to Bid. Bids must be sentor delivered in a manner to arrive at the Palisade Town Hall, 175 E. Third St, P.O. Box128, Palisade, CO, 81526, NO LATER THAN 2:00 p.m., May 4, 2011.

The most responsive bid will be determined by criteria determined essential to theTown. The criteria are not limited to the lowest price. The Town reserves the right toreject all bids, or accept the bid deemed most advantageous to the Town. All bidsreceived are subject to negotiation prior to any contract award.

This Request for Bids is not a commitment to purchase, and the Town shall notreimburse any expenditure experienced by the Bidder in its preparation. Nor does the

Town obligate itself with any action taken or cost incurred by Bidder in responding tothis Request for Bids. The responses to this Request for Bids will be used to select aproduct vendor.

BID INFORMATIONREQUEST FOR BIDS Playground Equipment for Memorial and Peach Bowl

Parks

1. All participating bidders, by their signature hereunder, shall agree to comply with allconditions, requirements, and instructions of this Request for Bids as stated orimplied herein. Should the Town omit anything from this package which isnecessary to a clear understanding of the requirements, or should it appear thatvarious instructions are in conflict, then the bidders shall secure instructions fromFrank Watt, Public Works Director to the time and date of the quotation closing dateshown in the Request For Bid.

2. After bids are opened, a bidder may be given an opportunity to explain the nature ofany error and may request their quotation be withdrawn. Such quotations may, withthe approval of the Town, be withdrawn and not resubmitted. Errors determined bythe Town to be minor may be allowed within an acceptable quotation.

3. Bidders are expected to examine the specifications and all instructions contained inthis quotation package. Failure to do so will be at the bidders risk.

4. LATE OR UNSIGNED QUOTATIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED ORCONSIDERED. IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE BIDDER TO ENSURE THATTHE QUOTATION ARRIVES AT PALISADE TOWN HALL PRIOR TO THE TIMEINDICATED ON THE REQUEST FOR QUOTATION.

5. The contract shall be awarded to the most responsive bidder and will be determinedby criteria determined essential to the Town. The criteria are not limited to thelowest price. The Town reserves the right to reject all bids, reject portions of anybid, or accept the bid or bids deemed most advantageous to the Town.

It is the Towns intent to enter into an agreement with a contractor to providePlayground Equipment for Memorial and Peach Bowl Parks in Palisade, Colorado.Bidders will provide pricing as denoted in the bid documents and will need to beprepared to hold these prices throughout 2011. Price will include all products, materials,fabrication, delivery, warranties and the total cost of equipment.

Terms, Conditions and Statement of Work are included on the attached page.

This page describes the List of Products and Services contemplated by the Request forBids (RFB). This List of Products and Services should be used as a basis for preparingyour estimated costs if your firm chooses to provide a bid.
