In twin sheet thermoforming, two sheets are heated and drawn by vacuum over separate molds and fused together through pressure to form a structural double walled part. Plastic is injected, under pressure, into a closed cavity mold. The material is cooled to ensure that it maintains the exact shape of the mold. This process produces a solid wall, solid core part. Plastic and nitrogen gas are injected into a closed cavity mold. The part is cooled to create the exact shape of the mold. The combined use of these materials creates a cellular core that forms a solid skin.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING PALLETS
Solid wood packaging continues to pose unique challenges to compan
ies co
nducting business globally. Issues include
compliance with national and in
ternational laws, consideration of environmental threats an
d recycling opportunities,
worker safety and delay or rejection of shipments at inspection points.
ISPM 15 is the newest challenge compan
ies face when m
aking global shipments. This regulation was in
troduced,
and agreed to by man
y nations, to prevent the in
troduction of non-native, w
ood-borne pests. It requires the fumigation of
all solid wood pallets.
The tech
niques used to adhere to this regulation are less
than
ideal. C
hemicals are harmful to workers as well as
the ozone while heat treatment is costly and degrades
the wood, shortening the useful life of the pallet. W
ood
pallet disposal can
also beco
me a significant co
st driver
in in
ternational shipping with m
any wood pallets ending
up in
landfills after just one use.
Plastic pallets are a valuab
le cost-effective solution.
Plastic products are fully exempt from ISPM 15
Regulations, as they cannot harbor pests, m
old or fungus.
This exemption helps co
mpan
ies receive product on
time, w
ith m
inim
al wait times at ports.
The plastic pallets shown are limited-use pallets that are
at price points comparab
le to wood pallets. Their smooth
surfaces an
d lack of sharp edges protect workers from in
jury. A
t the end of their useful life, these pallets are recyclab

Divider Sheets provide maximum product protection and load stability for unitized loads of food, beverage and industrial
products. When combined with plastic pallets and top frames, an efficient shipping system is created for storage and trans-
port. These reusable plastic Divider Sheets are placed between layers of aluminum, steel, glass and plastic cans or bottles used
to package food and beverage products. They are also used in many industrial applications to protect items, including printed
materials or automotive products. Divider Sheets are available in solid and corrugated styles to meet diverse application needs. The non-sloughing,
plastic design reduces product contamination that can occur from dust, fiber and splinters found in alternative sheet materials. Additionally,
Divider Sheets are easily cleanable, using proprietary cleaning technologies. Their reusability eliminates the packaging waste associated with the
disposal of corrugated and solid fiberboard divider sheets. To support high-velocity supply chains, Divider Sheets are also available on a rental

Molded-In Logoidentification is a type of perm
anent identification that is molded into the pallet or top cap
during production. O
riginal artwork must be supplied to ORBIS at the time of the order. Availability, requirement and
location for the molded-in identification can vary for each pallet.
Hot Stampidentification utilizes .5”block capital letters in a predefined area on the pallet or top cap. Availability,

Identification Platesare rigid plastic plates with adhesive backing that affix securely to your pallet. These plates are
designed for durability and a long service life. All ORBISpallets can accommodate identification plates. Availability,
requirement and location of the identification plates can vary for each pallet.
Vinyl Labelsare flexible plastic labels with adhesive backing that affix securely to your pallet. These long lasting
labels are for use on all ORBIStherm
oform
ed (HMWPE) pallets. Availability, requirement and location for the vinyl

Custom Color Stripingis available on m

ed OPTE Pallets to provide a
unique identification alternative. Standard stripe widths are two and four inches. Stripe color must be specified at the
time of the order and requires minimum order quantities.
Seat Belt Assembliesattach to the pallet and top cap to effectively secure pallet loads. Our innovative seat belts
accommodate high stack loads and will not twist, tangle or jam. The short lock zone provides a secure fit on short
stack heights, and our easy grab tongue loop prevents the belt from retracting back into the pallet. Available on
various 30”x 32”, 30”x 36”, 32”x 38”, 40”x 48”and 45”x 48”pallets. Strap length is approximately 59’from housing to
end of strap. Standard Color: Black
Rubber Grommetsare placed in predeterm
ined areas on the pallet deck, fork tine area or feet on select ORBIS
pallets to stabilize a unit load and guard against load shifting by providing a non-skid surface. Anti-Skid Disks are also
available for many pallet styles. Standard Colors: Deck Grommets - Beige; Foot Grommets - Beige; Fork Tine Grommets
- Beige; O
P Grommets - Grey; Spin Disks - Natural, Clear.
Deck Inserts and Leg Coverswill quickly and easily snap into the pallet to cover the leg hole openings. These
inserts prevent interference with small loads, conveyor systems, and other material handling equipment. Note: Pallets
will not nest after inserts have been installed. Available on all POP, 45 x 48-A, nestable and stackable 48”x 48”and
48”x 72”structural foam
pallets. Standard: Black
Non-Skid Diamond Pattern Surface is available on selected pallets to prevent product slippage during
storage and transport.
