• All plants need space, air, water, and sunlight.
Nonvascular Plants
• Grow close to the ground.• Absorb water directly from the ground.• May grow just a few centimeters tall.
Vascular Plants
• No size limits• Tubes transport water and nutrients to various
parts of the plant.• Can be seed plants or seedless.

Seedless Plants
• Reproduce by spores• A single cell with a tough outer covering.• Creates a new plant exactly like the one that
produced it.
Seed Plants
• Seeds contain the undeveloped plant, stored food, and a protective covering.
• The covering keeps the seed from getting dried out or damaged.
• The stored food is used to help the plant grow and develop.
• Can be flowering plants or non-flowering.
