Our extensive experience of the discipline enables us to provide expert advice and value-engineering to ensure the most suitable and cost-effective remediation methodology is used.
We carry out all demolition, excavation and associated enabling work and are licensed by the Environment Agency to establish mobile treatment facilities. Our services also extend to tank decommissioning, cleaning & filling and soil stabilisation.
We deliver remediation schemes across a wide variety of sectors, including:
n Residential developmentn Commercialn Urban regenerationn Educationn Healthcaren Leisure
We have expertise in a comprehensive range of remediation technologies including:
Bio-remediation – typically carried out ex-situ and involves the controlled treatment of contaminated land with biological agents such as bacteria, enzymes or other micro-organisms that degrade and neutralise hydrocarbons, nitrate and sulphate-based fertilizers.Soil stabilisation – involves treating excavated material with chemical additives such as lime, ash or cement to immobilise and encapsulate contaminants and increase the strength and load bearing capacity of sub-grades to support foundations.
Screen/sort – can be used to remove non-hazardous material such as hardcore, timber and stone to produce a homogenous sub-base required for redevelopment.
Soil washing – uses detergents to clean and decontaminate material with high granular content and can also be used to treat hazardous waste.
Pump & treat – is the most common technique for decontaminating ground water and involves pumping the fluid to a nearby purification facility where it is treated with chemical reagents and filters.
Asbestos – under controlled conditions, using a variety of manual techniques (pick and sort) and screening equipment that segregates the hazardous waste which is removed safely to a licensed disposal facility. We monitor and document the source, processing techniques and destination of all remediated material to provide full chain-of-custody and traceability required by the regulations. On completion of a project we prepare a report for our client which documents the methodology involved supported by technical drawings, test and monitoring data including photographic evidence.

We invest heavily in the signing and guarding of our contract crushing and aggregate recycling plant to meet industry and the individual needs and standards of our clients.
We are specialists in recycling waste asphalt planings (RAP) to exact client specifications and we are currently producing over 1.5 million tonnes for our clients per annum. We can also remove materials to local facilities for recycling.
We can implement the Waste and Resources Action Programme, (WRAP UK) quality protocols to prepare certificated recycled aggregate and recycled asphalt products. Track ballast can also be crushed and processed on-site as Type 1 for use in highways projects or removed and stored at local depots.
We also provide mobile facilities for processing salvaged plasterboard which segregates the paper content and recovers the gypsum for re-input into the manufacturing process.
Specialist equipment and labour can be supplied to collate, segregate and remove other building products such as glass, timber and metals from site to local recycling centres.
