Funding from trusts – small and large grants, don’t focus on getting what you want from just one grant Funding from local and national government Funding from companies – sponsorship Funding from individuals – donors, sponsors, legacies, young people Funding from other commissioned sources, health, juvenile justice Events Trading – selling services (make sure you have something to sell and that it is worth buying) Online funding – crowd funding, online giving

• Different staffing models – volunteers, part time, sessional workers , apprenticeships, consultants, share staff with others

• Co – location – sharing premises and costs • Joined up back office and admin, payroll, finance, bidding etc

Golden Rules

• Change happens – they keep moving the cheese

• Anticipate change – get ready for the cheese to move

• Monitor change – smell the cheese often so you know when it is getting old

• Adapt to change quickly – The quicker you let go of old cheese, the sooner you can find new cheese
