a multi-day convention for 600.
The versatile Princess Royal stand
offers its own exhibition hall, up to 4
conference suites and 14 flexible boxes,
providing the perfect self-contained
venue for a conference requiring plenary,
exhibition and breakout space for up to
500 delegates.
For more intimate surroundings for your
proceedings, the Queen Mother stand
offers stunning racecourse views,
a choice of two suites for up to 200
theatre style and flexible boxes ideal
for syndicate sessions.
The cutting edge Lord Sefton and Earl
of Derby stands, offer mirror image
spaces which can accommodate up to
600 delegates each in two rooms on the
same floor, and another 300 each on
another level. Each stand also offers 6
single or 3 double boxes. Coupled with
spectacular views of the course, these
grandstands offer the space and service
to meet the most demanding event brief.
Smaller meetings and seminars are also
perfectly at home at Aintree Racecourse.
Inspirational and unique surroundings

There’s 928 sqm available on the ground
floor in the Princess Royal Exhibition Hall,
just steps away from the state of the art
Equestrian Centre which offers a further
3700 sqm. Both spaces offer a full AV
(Audio Visual) specification, catering
and full height roller doors for
vehicular access.
A further 2000 sqm is available across
two floors of the Earl of Derby and Lord
Sefton grandstands, with access from
the ground floor via multiple lifts.
With a total of 7500 sqm of indoor
exhibition space available across the
racecourse, Aintree also offers 270 acres

Tommy Wallis was employed by the Racecourse Holding Trust (a subsidiary of The Jockey Club) in 1967 and was Managing Director from 1975 until his retirement in 1989. Tommy was closely involved with the acquisition of Aintree in 1983 by the Aintree Racecourse Charitable Trust and was instrumental in ensuring the Grand National and its home were saved for posterity.
The Wallis Suite is perfect for large board meetings up to 50 attendees and receptions for up to 280.
The Princess Royal Stand was opened on the eve of the 1998 Grand National by HRH The Princess Royal. The Princess has been a regular visitor and even a competitor at Aintree, riding her horse Cnoc Na Cuille in the Mildmay Steeplechase on Grand National Day in 1987.
The Princess Royal Suite is located on the fourth floor, and accommodates up to 350 delegates theatre style. It can be split into two separate suites and offers stunning views of the racecourse.

Merryman II was the first Scottish-bred horse to win the Grand National in 1960, which was also the first time the race was televised.
The Merryman Suite comprises of ten interconnecting raceview boxes which can fit up to 100 theatre style or ten per box for a board meeting. Located on the third floor of the Princess Royal stand, there are 14 Merryman boxes in total.

Papillon was the winner of the first Grand National of the 21st century, and Ruby Walsh’s first Grand National ride for his father Ted Walsh.
Together with the adjacent Corbiere Suite, the Papillon Suite offers flexible conference and meeting space for up to 300 delegates, with an ideal space for catering or an exhibition directly adjacent.

Most certainly the most famous of the Grand National fences, Becher’s Brook was named after Captain Mark Becher who fell at the fence in the first Grand National in 1839 and took refuge in the small brook running along the landing side of the fence.
With views of the winning post, the Becher’s Suite can accommodate up to 150 delegates theatre style or up to 50 for a board meeting.

The Valentine Suite is named after one of the Grand National fences originally known as Second Brook, but renamed when a horse named Valentine was reputed to have jumped hind legs first in 1840.

Winner of the 1983 Grand National, Corbiere was one of the 1980’s Grand National legends, and the first horse trained by Jenny Pitman to come in first.
The Corbiere Suite accommodates up to 300 delegates and can be combined with the adjacent Papillon Suite to provide space for an exhibition, break out or catering space on the same level.

Located on the first floor of the Lord Sefton grandstand and adjacent to the Golden Miller Suite, the Sunloch Suite offers 650 sqm of exhibition, conference or banqueting space together with stunning racecourse views.
Sunloch won the final Grand National before the outbreak of the Great War in 1914, by an impressive eight lengths and was a record breaking fourth win for Sir Charles Assheton-Smith.

from the motorway network, with
Preston and Manchester both just 40
minutes drive away. Liverpool Airport
is just 17 miles away and Manchester
International Airport a 45 minute drive.
The City of Liverpool is just 15 minutes
drive, and can also be accessed via
Aintree station, just steps away from the
racecourse. Aintree station services the
local Merseyrail network running between
Liverpool Central and Ormskirk station
which are both 15 minutes journey.
Liverpool Central is a 5 minute walk from
Liverpool Lime Street main line station
which can also be accessed via the
underground network.
