Ben C : The genre of the game is action, zombie survival. We took our influence from the video game Dead Rising, as this provides the most solid information into the zombie survival genre because this is the game that defined the zombie video game market within video games. Furthermore this game also has the dry humour that our script uses, and a rather heavy amount of sarcasm often seen in black comedies. We also took an amount of inspiration from left for dead as this game has a level where you have to fend off waves of zombies at a rock concert which gave us the idea of a band actually having to survive a zombie apocalypse Kevin: Alex the guitarist of the band is snide and sarcastic he’s a very blunt person and takes most things as a joke for example he suggests a point system for killing zombies he’s also very realistic and blunt thinking that the zombies were originally a joke and it’s the “stupidest thing I’ve ever heard” and he’s essentially the leader of the group Freddy is the bands drummer and the joker of the group he adds life to the team and is very light-hearted and not really bothered about the fact that there is a horde of zombies that are ready to kill them Hank is the bassist of the band he’s also quite light hearted but also slightly scared of the concept of zombies he’s scared of getting killed and becoming one himself however he still messes around a little bit and is the most talkative member of the group often having a reply to everything Fergus is quite distant from the group and doesn’t really speak all that much and when he does speak he’s either heavily using sarcasm or being scared and somewhat shy he’s an awkward person and doesn’t particularly like people and is only really in the band for the music Ben A: The cut scene is set at the start of the game as soon as you press the play button you meet the band playing some music, just as

We also took an amount of inspiration from left for dead as this game has a level where you have to fend off waves of zombies at a rock concert which gave us the idea of a band actually having to survive a zombie apocalypse

Kevin: Alex the guitarist of the band is snide and sarcastic he’s a very blunt person and takes most things as a joke for example he suggests a point system for killing zombies he’s also very realistic and blunt thinking that the zombies were originally a joke and it’s the “stupidest thing I’ve ever heard” and he’s essentially the leader of the group

Freddy is the bands drummer and the joker of the group he adds life to the team and is very light-hearted and not really bothered about the fact that there is a horde of zombies that are ready to kill them

Hank is the bassist of the band he’s also quite light hearted but also slightly scared of the concept of zombies he’s scared of getting killed and becoming one himself however he still messes around a little bit and is the most talkative member of the group often having a reply to everything

Fergus is quite distant from the group and doesn’t really speak all that much and when he does speak he’s either heavily using sarcasm or being scared and somewhat shy he’s an awkward person and doesn’t particularly like people and is only really in the band for the music

Ben A: The cut scene is set at the start of the game as soon as you press the play button you meet the band playing some music, just as they notice that there is zombies at first they panic but soon they decide to just have some fun with the zombies and just kill endless hordes of zombies with their guitars and make jokes at each-other then they devise a point system for killing the zombies as an ironic breaking the fourth wall moment and then Fergus jokes about how this is really not what you would think in a zombie appolypse and setting the scene for an over the top game that’s just about having fun killing hordes of zombies.

Mike: We will produce sounds such as voice acting, music, and miscellaneous sound effects such as footsteps, zombie groans, in addition to this we will also produce ambience. We will be producing sounds from a guitar and existing third party music in the background. (Avenged sevenfold – Not ready to die, Evanescence – Bring me to life).

To produce the audio we will be using different sound techniques such as Foley artistry, field recording and voice acting: Foley artistry for footsteps, groans and the sound of a window opening; Field recording will be used for the ambience.
