We are a small family owned and operated company founded in 1980 in the heart of the Willamette Valley. The vision for this product came from our oldest grandson who dreamed of having a real pirate ship to play on. Together our family has taken this idea and created a one-of-a-kind Pirate Ship Playhouse. This is the only playhouse you will ever need to buy. They are made to last.

As a large family of 10 we truly believe in the importance of spending time together – that’s why we created the Pirate Ship Playhouses. In our own yard we took the single playhouse a step further and created a courtyard area complete with 2 pirate ships, a tiki hut, and large sand box. It’s become an area where we can have fun together no matter what the weather is like. You will find us having BBQ’s, roasting marshmallows, relaxing in the evening sun, or having a water fight.

Our own master craftsman build each ship with exceptional precision and quality. Every part is hand sanded and hand pained to provide a long lasting realistic looking ship, making each one a piece of art. Look closely and you will notice intricate details from gold scrolls to 3D carved trims and accents. Each play structure is made in prefinished sections.

About us Extreme Family Playhouses are designed by Dixon Woodworking, Inc. where we believe quality and safety go hand in hand. This absolutely amazing play structure is made from high quality materials and is built to last with low maintenance. The ship floor has textured boat vinyl and is built for all weather. Designed for the entire family for hours of fun, while engaging young children’s imagination for hours of play, with a new adventure everyday rain or shine! Set sail on our impressive Queen Anne’s Revenge Pirate Ship– it’s every pirate’s dream! Mateys of all ages can steer the ship, fire the cannons, ring the bell, sword fight, dance to pirate music from the programmable sound system, sort the loot, swing, walk the plank and slide down or keep a look out from the upper deck! The roomy cabin is a great place to store all the loot and keep dry in rough seas. The programmable sound system can be loaded with facts or a pre-recorded stories. We intentionally designed and built our play structures to be taken apart in a few hours. If you need to move the location of the original setup, it can be moved in the yard or to a new house.
