We all know this very famous caracther of the 70´s swedish TV serie star-ing Inger Nilssen and we ll never forget those high tights socks, litle dress, black boots and of corse those red braided hair. And her house was the amoussement parck we all wanted in our houses, its was all fun, games and madness.

The actress grew old long time ago, but the spirit and influences is still alive. She is a total icon, mothers put pippi cotsumes on their daugters, is so normal to see girls wearing litlle “innocent and childish” dresses whit black lace up boots, thigh high sock has been used and seeen all over lately, last winter every brand had its own model, there is all kind of merchandis-ing whit her face like pins, shirts, lunch boxes, etc, etc... Theres a blog only about people dress up as pippi. Layering and mixing all kind of printing is all part of this game..

And her almost most famous than her house, Villa VIllekulla is not exmpt of revivals and tributes in the area of interior desing and house decoration. Founder of the fabric and furniture company DwellStudio, Christiane Lem-ieux, puts a name to this trend as “undecorating”, wich defines a home whit a very own and random style, created by chance, and not by planning. And if Pippi´s favorite game was “not to touch the floor”, is normal to under-stand that her house was always a very difficult thing to define.

And what if Pippi grew old to be a young girl in today´s Barcelona??How would she be?? what would she dress?? where would she live???A grown up Pippi, but whit the same punk actitude that defines her. This is the idea that I want to ilustrate whit a fashion editorial where I can mix the arts of set decoration, and styling.

The original serie, was first made in the late 60´s , early 70´s but it was about the decade of the 30´s, thats is why now days is such an intersting thing to see, because it mixes a lot of thing in a unique way.

Im planning of using pastel colors, layering, randomness, print mixing, and casualty happen. But for that to look real, real, and not like just some made up esscenary, I have to actually be playing to “Not touch the floor” for at least two days before the shooting in my house so it really looks like it should.
