Specifications
Fusion Bond Coated PipeFusion Bond Epoxy (FBE) provides corrosion protection of pipelines and pipe pilings in service in the harshest environ-ments. This field-proven coating protects against soil stress, bacteria and fungus attack, soil acid, alkalis and all other corrosive elements associated with below ground or underwater use. FBE is also resistant to cathodic disbondment in long term performance under a wide range of in-service conditions and ambient temperatures.
Fusion Bond Epoxy has tough physical properties that minimize damage during transit, installation and opera-tion. This coating also demonstrates superior chemical resistance in long term service in a variety of soil condi-tions. FBE protective coatings provide an excellent base for ARO systems and joint coatings.

STD FS
Class 150 (Standard) Black Malleable Iron fittings are the economical choice for general piping systems at reduced pressure. Fittings in this class are suitable for vapor lines under 125 PSIG. Forged Steel (FS) fittings offer exceptional strength for distortion free make-up in higher pressure piping. These fitting are machined from solid forgings with grain flow and strength designed in. The extended banding allows much greater distortion free tightening than the equivalant malleable iron fittings.

TG-1
The TG-1 anode is used to protect steel structures such as buried tanks and piping from various reactive elements commonly encountered in soils. The TG-1 anode is manufactured with the base metal magnesium which is much more reactive than the elements in the soil. The anode will give up its ions to the soil and spare the steel structure from destructive corrosion.
The TG-1 anode will produce between 1.4v to 1.5v potential in most environments. Service life will vary with the resistivity of the environment and the surface area protected. On an average istallation, the TG-1 has a median life of ten years.

Corrugated Stainless Steel Flex ConnectorsEasy to install even in tight places, these rugged flexible connectors are recommended for use with fixed gas appliances. The stainless steel tubing material provides superior corrosion resistance and physical strength for long trouble-free service. The first three corrugations are enclosed within the nut to eliminate the stress fractures commonly found in ordinary “straight-neck connectors”.

Corrugated Stainless Tubing
WardFlexTM Corrugated Stainless Steel TubingWardflexTM is a continuous, annular stainless steel gas piping system. It is design certified by the American Gas Association for use in single family, multi-family and light commercial construction. The real advantage of WardflexTM is its flexibility. The restrictions encountered with conventional piping are virtually eliminated. A WardflexTM system eliminates the majority of connections required to pipe a typical gas installation. The fewer the connections, the faster the installation. With fewer connections, there is also less chance of leakage.

Polyethylene Tubing
Polyethylene Tubing
Polyethylene tubing is manufactured from a yellow PE 2406 material. It meets the requirements specified in ASTM D 2513 for gas piping. Proper installation requires close attention to the following limitations for polyethylene pipe:1. Vapor service only with 30 PSIG maximum operating pressure.2. Outdoor and underground service only.3. IPS (Iron Pipe Size) and CTS (Copper Tubing Size) polyethylene are di-mensionally quite different. Great care must be taken in selecting the fittings to make sure they match the pipe being used.

*SDR means Standard Dimension Ratio. It is the ratio of the pipe O.D. to the wall thickness.
Flexible Riser System
This system incorporates flexible, factory assembled risers with service head adapters. There are no joints underground. The polyethylene tubing runs from the first stage regulator directly to the second stage regulator.
The system provides simple, leakproof joints that don’t require specialpipe end prep or special tools.

For 1/2” and 3/4” Tubing
Anodeless risers provide a positive transition joint between polythylene pipe and the gas carrying steel pipe of the riser outlet. The riser casing is epoxy coated for long term corrosion protection and incorporates a water tight, below ground seal.
Transition risers are required for the larger tubing sizes. They have the same features as the anodeless models, but are only available in a straight configuration. For most common installations, a fusion elbow is attached to make the turn to vertical.
These flexible risers are used as the terminations on runs of 1/2” and 3/4” polyethylene systems mainly for residential installations. As decribed on the previous page they provide a quick, simple and positive assembly.

Couplings are used to connect two pieces of the same size polythylene tubing together.
Repair couplings have a stab coupling on both ends and are handy for restoring that accidentally cut line.

Con-Stab I.D. Seal® FittingsCon-Stab I.D. Seal® fittings provide a very cost effective joining method for poly pipe. These fittings seal on the internal surface of the pipe and seal regardless of the external surface of the pipe. Simply chamfer the end of the pipe and push to install. Tube stiffener, self-locking grabber and two seals ensure excellent seal.
Reducing couplings are used to connect two pieces of different size polythylene tubing together.
