• Section I: Section I: a synths-dominated overture of the composition. Eerie “cosmic” atmosphere. Dull deep sounds of synths + glass harp infusions (a kind of space, ethereal sounds). Anticipation for the further development of the composition canvas.
• Section II: Section II: psychedelic guitar solo, gentle blues chords with synths ambient sounds on the background. The solo gradually fades away
• Section III: Section III: the main tune of 4 notes appears. It is repeated throughout the section. Another guitar solo.
Shine On You Crazy Diamond, Shine On You Crazy Diamond, Part 1Part 1
• Section IV: Section IV: soft transition between the sections, lingering minor keyboards solo; expressive blues-like guitar solo, polyphonic texture of music.
• Section V: Section V: vocals-dominated section, intensification of emotional component. There is no traditional popular sing structure, yet there are verses, bridges and a kind of chorus. Multi-layered texture of the section. Instruments and the tune of the vocals go hand in hand. The last subsection is dominated by the rich saxophone sound accompanied by Gilmour. The composition fades away gradually and smoothly at the close.
