OCTOBER 12, 2015 PGA TOUR SEASON TEES OFF S55 ON TOP PING PROS BIG AT PRESIDENTS CUP P ING pros Bubba Watson and Louis Oosthuizen were key contributors for their respective teams as an exciting Presidents Cup was decided by the final singles match on Sunday, with the U.S. prevailing 15 ½ to 14 ½. He’ll look to continue his PGA Tour record streak of having made 941 consecutive putts from 3 feet and in. Summerhays plays a Karsten TR B60. Martin Piller returns to the tour for a second time; he was previously on tour in 2011. S 55 irons were in the winner’s bag Sunday at the British Masters on the European Tour, another title for the phenomenally successful model. The S55 was used to claim 20 titles worldwide in 2015 alone and many more since its introduction in October 2013.

Whether he was playing “PING” Pong in his Presidents Cup team room or golfi ng on the course, Louis Oosthuizen brought his ‘A’ game to South Korea. We don’t know his win-loss record in table tennis, but he went undefeated on the links, going 4-0 in foursomes and four-ball, and earning a tie in his Sunday singles match after winning the par-5 18th hole with an eagle 3. Following up a 320-yard drive, he hit what he called “one of the biggest 7-irons of my life” 214 yards over water to 11 feet, then drained the putt. It was the only eagle on 18 on Sunday, prompting a demonstrative celebration from the normally reserved South African.

Jackie Stoelting backed up her fi rst win on the Symetra Tour with another on Sunday. Stoelting, coming off her fi rst full season on the LPGA Tour, posted three consecutive rounds of 4-under 67 to earn a two-shot victory at the IOA Golf Classic at Alaqua Country Club in Longwood, Fla. The 29-year-old Florida native is the fi rst player to post back-to-back wins on the Symetra Tour since 2012.

Stoelting achievement. Her dad was on her bag, her mom (and high school golf coach) was in attendance, as was her husband, who is her swing coach. Next up for her is the fi nal stage of LPGA Qualifying School in Daytona Beach, Fla., the fi rst week of December.
