• Two hour church services (morning & afternoon)

Family Relationships

• Husbands & wives MUST live together.

• Parents could lose their children if they were found to be poorly educated.

• Everyone must be able to read and understand the Bible.

Sumptuary Laws

• Laws preventing excess in clothing & food consumption.

• Fines were imposed on those who dressed in silk or wore silver buckles on their shoes. (Only for the ‘upper’ classes.)

Public Behavior

• People found guilty of DRUNKENESS, IDELNESS, or GOSSIPING were made targets and confined to the stocks or pillory.
