Piggy and the school kids.The Willaura Primary School enjoyed a fun filled BBQ lunch recently with the Bendigo Bank mascot Piggy. The BBQ was part of the final day of the four week ‘Get with the Program’ sessions to teach students the importance of saving, budgeting and banking. A cheque for $1,000 was also presented to the Willaura Primary School as part of our annual school sponsorship program – this year the money will be used for seating in the open area.

Wickliffe/Lake Bolac Cricket Club.The Community Bank® branch recently provided a $200 donation to the club for the Milo cricket team to enjoy icy poles at the end of each game and a finals sausage sizzle.

The Willaura/Lake Bolac Community Bank® Branch recently provided a donation to the organisers of ‘The Yarn’ – a unique opportunity for a small community to come together and enjoy listening to and learning from the wisdom and experience of those who’ve paved the way for its future. Current and former residents who have had a long association with the district gathered at the Willaura

Memorial Hall recently to literally yarn and have their memories recorded. The Willaura Primary School students took an active part in the Question and Answer session. They were especially interested to hear of how banking was conducted in earlier times, when staff had to do everything laboriously by hand and little technology was available to assist.
