PIED PIPER NOTES JUNE 2017 Kathy 815-5281 School 962-5196 Max 815-5792 FOR YOUR CALENDAR; Thurs. 6/1 & Fri. 6/2 HAPPY SUMMER BIRTHDAY! If your child was born in June, July or August send in goodies and we’ll party Fri. 6/9 School Lunch Students can practice buying lunch at school and the proceeds go to Relay For Life. For $7.00 students get to enjoy a juice box and a cookie while supporting our Relay for Life team! Let us know if your student is joining us for our special lunch. Fri. 6/9 RELAY FOR LIFE Team Pied Piper will be participating in the Relay for Life at the track in Yorktown. We will all walk together as TEAM YELLOW, TEAM BLUE and TEAM GREEN at 6:00pm. We are preforming on the stage for the opening ceremony at 6:30PM COME & JOIN US. Beginners walk 1 lap, intermediates 2 laps, and pre-K’s 4 laps. We will have face painting, tattoos, a fun project, popcorn and delicious food from Ella Badini’s mom Robin at the Pied Piper table. All decorated penny bottles and donations from the Bike-A-Thon, Walk-A-Thon, and Hop-A-Thon will be presented on the main table. A parent/guardian must accompany ALL students walking the track! THIS IS NOT A DROP OFF FUNCTION. PARENTS MUST STAY WITH THEIR CHILDREN. Tues. 6/13 *** BEGINNER GROUP RECITAL *** 10:00am performers arrive at 9:00am to get ready even if it is not their day, parents will have 2 seats, all others get bench seats or stand. Wed.6/14 *** INTERMEDIATE GROUP RECITAL *** 6:30pm performers arrive at 6:15, parents will have 2 seats, all other guests get bench seats or stand. Thurs.6/15 *** PRE-K GRADUATION AND RECITAL *** 7:00 pm performers arrive 15 minutes early, parents will have 2 seats, all other guests get bench seats or stand. Note: **Remember performers take this very seriously. Please refrain from talking, you can be heard by the performers. No toddlers sitting in front. The show is too long and they get bored. Keep them in the back so they can move around, Crying babies should be taken outside where you can still see the performance through our big, beautiful windows. Cloth graduation hats and gowns will be collected before we go outside to the party. Pre-K’s can keep their tassel. Please make sure you paid the $40.00 family recital fee which covers the rental of chairs, tents, and refreshments for ALL shows throughout the year. All tuitions must be paid before the recitals. **** A reception will follow each recital********* !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! RECITAL PARKING RULES !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Someone will be outside directing traffic and assigning parking spots. If you have any special parking needs, please let us know ahead of time so we can accommodate you. Each family gets 1 parking spot. All others MUST park at Freyer’s Nursery or Chase bank after dropping off passengers. Fri. 6/16 SCHOOL PICNIC Bring your own food and drink to Downing Park, 9:30 am to 12:30 pm rain or shine. ALL CHILDREN MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY A GROWN UP. THIS IS NOT A DROP OFF!!! Wear your Pied Piper T-shirt for a group picture. All PM students can return to Pied Piper at 12:30pm. There will be no am daycare session. Please plan accordingly. Fri. 6/16 Father’s Day outing. SUMMER BOOKS: Yorktown schools send home bridging books at the beginning of the summer to keep skills fresh. We will send our books home the first week n June. Have Fun!

DON’T FORGET: It’s not too late to sign up for a fun filled summer at Pied Piper with the people you trust in a safe and happy environment. We offer an eight week program full of water play, arts & crafts, music, theatre, cooking and sports. You pick the days, you pick the weeks and we guarantee a fun time and we have AIR CONDITIONING!!!!!!!!!!!! All staff members are BLS, first aide and epi pen certified.

ONCE AGAIN we have to say goodbye to many children who will be heading to Kindergarten in the fall, and their families. Attachments are easily made, but not so easily broken. We are so proud of our school and its reputation. We believe that our approach attracts families who appreciate the atmosphere we strive so hard to create. THANK YOU for this opportunity to share this year with you and your child. You will be greatly missed. Stop by and VISIT! You know where to find us!
