Artwork reproduction, or scanning, is a specialty service Left Bank Art Group provides for artists, enabling them to digitise their original artworks at the highest of resolutions, for printing reproduction or simply archiving.

We’ve invested heavily into premiere scanning equipment and custom colour profiles, ensuring the process from capture to print is seamless and on point. Our customers quite often can’t tell the difference between their original and the print!

We have recently installed one of the largest flatbed scanners in Australia – capable of scanning 2A0 (1220 x 1778mm) in a single pass, at 600 pixels per inch (over 1200 megapixels). Larger artworks are scanned in sections and stitched together.

The artwork is captured through the glass by the scanning head, only millimetres away, so every single detail is captured with outstanding detail. After scanning artworks for over 10 years, we’ve found this method to produce far better results than photography due to the controlled, even lighting with no distortion.

As many artists these days are proficient in Photoshop, we do offer a raw scan only service for those who want to do their own post production. We also provide full service scanning where you are provided with colour correct files in a variety of sizes and formats.

We’ve been doing it for over 10 years and are now one of the leading artwork printing services in Australia.

We print on museum grade cotton rag using top of the line Epson archival inks, up to 150cm wide, and (almost) any length. Using custom colour profiles and Eizo monitors, Julia and the team are renowned for their speedy turnaround, impressive service and of course, impeccable quality.

We are certified by Canson and Ilford, two of the worlds leading art paper suppliers, as fine art printers and our custom colour profiles are built specifically for our printers, which ensures the reproduction is as close to the original as humanly possible.

The cotton rag papers we use, coupled with the Epson UltraChrome and HDX archival inks, are guaranteed to last over 100 years when displayed correctly.

We’ve been picture framing for over 30 years, it’s where we began. We’re equipped to handle simple glass replacements or supplying picture hooks, right through to producing and delivering thousands of custom printed and framed artworks for commercial projects. Our team has over 110 years between them in the industry, and we have cutting edge equipment backed by established relationships with suppliers, allowing us to deliver customised, large-scale picture framing to artists and the interiors industry.

We print custom wallpapers and wall murals for residential and commercial projects across Australia. Using UV LED technology with CMYK and white inks, and a range of medias, we can achieve stunning effects at enormous scale, printed on demand, specifically for your project. This means we print once an order is placed, different to traditional wallpaper printing, where you would pay for metres of product you might not need.

Using a combination of coloured and white inks, we can create amazing wallpapers on flat, textured and metallic medias, which are commercial-grade with Class A fire ratings.

Our catalogue of designs are available to pick from and customise, and if we don’t have something that suits, our design team can create absolutely anything!

Our art collection is a curated catalogue of open edition framed prints, taken from original artworks and photography by local and international artists. With each purchase, the artist is paid a commission, helping them keep doing what they love. What further sets us apart is our ability to customise each artwork, from simple cropping through to colour changes to suit the space the art is hanging in.

We’ve incorporated a standard set of sizes and frames to make selections and quoting a breeze, however, we can always customise the size and frame style to suit an individual project.

The collection can be printed onto a wide choice of medias also, from basic poster paper through to fine art cotton rag and even metallic medias for special effects. We can also hand-embellish each print in-house, with beautiful leafing or simple brush strokes, blurring the line between original and print.
