Pickups the soul of an electric guitar. Whether we want to

lay down the thick and heavy riffs, or scream above the

crowd with our scintillating solos, we all need appropriate

pickups to help us transmit our tone to the amplifiers.

At Johnny Eleca, we treat pickups as the most important

part of the electric guitar playing experience. Instead of

trying to reverse engineer other's pickups, or trying to

copy other pickups' tones, we try to understand the

scientific principles of a pickup. Then we actively seek out

musicians of different genres, talk to different guitar

builders, finding out the relationships between tones and

music. Then by applying the scientific principles we

formulated with our findings with the musicians, we

created our unique line of Johnny Eleca Pickups.

Electric guitar's pickups are basically mini transducers that

transmit the string vibrations into electric current. It is

composed of two parts : magnets and coi ls . The

relationship between the magnets and the coils are the

basis of all tones.

Here at Johnny Eleca, we choose the best magnets

possible as the foundation of our pickups. We find the best

alnico, ceramic or neodymium magnets with the

appropriate magnetic strength. This creates the basis of

the Johnny Eleca's signature warm and glowing sound.

Combining different magnets with different lengths and

turns of the wire creates different sound. Using this

principle, we have created a series of pickups with

distinctive tones. By choosing the appropriate pickups to

match different kinds of guitars, musicians are free to

make the tones as personal as possible.

To protect our pickups against the noise and environment,

we use special German wax sealant and high quality cover

material to seal off our pickups. This makes our pickups

noise free and long lasting.

Here at Johnny Eleca, we are a group of electric guitar

nuts, we strive for the best, and we do not accept

compromises. Our goal is helping all musicians to find the

unique tone that will excite their bodies and souls.
