In this circuit, we demonstrate the use of relay as a switch. To control an ordinary switch, one needs to mechanically do work to make it ON/OFF. Imagine what if we can control the switching acFon using voltage (supply). The relay is an electromagneFc switch and a perfect example how we can use the electromagneFc force to switching acFon of any switch.
The system is composed of a relay, two LEDs and two 9V baNeries. When no external supply is given to the relay, the LED connected to its NC terminal glows. However, when the supply is given, the LED connected to the NO terminal glows and the LED connected to the NC terminal gets OFF.
