    1/2

    Form : 4 Perdana

    Subject : Physics

    Topic : Forces and Pressure

Learning Objectives : Understanding Bernoullis Principle

    Learning Outcomes : At the end of this lesson students will able to;

    1) State Bernoullis principle2) Explain that a resultant force exists due to a difference in fluid

pressure3) Describe applications of Bernoullis principle

Educational Emphasis : Generating ideas, relating, sharing the information.

Instructional Aids : Marker, whiteboard , handouts, power point presentation, LCD projector,

    and computer.

Previous Knowledge : Students have already learned about the definition of pressure, pressure in

    liquid and air pressure.

    Procedures:

Stage Learning and teaching activities Student reaction

Set Induction Teacher recap previous lesson and ask

    questions.

Teacher show video about the situation of an

    airoplane lift off.

Teacher ask question about how the big and

    heavy machine can fly.

    Students respond to teachers

    questions

Lesson Development Teacher ask a central guiding questions:

How does the pressure in moving fluid relate

to the speed of the fluid?

(How does the speed of moving fluid affect

    the pressure in the fluid?)

Teacher ask how is the movement of the tin

    cans/ paper strip?

    Form 2 groups

    First group:

    Students respond to teachers

Show a bottle which has a strip of tissue in

the bottles mouth. Ask student to blow

    hardly onto the bottles mouth.

    Second group:

Teacher show 2 tin cans and ask student to

predict which way the tin cans will move if

    they blow constantly between them.

Ask students to predict, observe and explain.

    Debriefing

Teacher ask student to conclude about the

relationship between the speed of fluid and

its pressure, and the existence of resultant

    force.

Teacher shows examples of application of

    Bernoullis Principle

Teacher explain how an aeroplane can flywith an illustration.

Shows video of the magic of aerofoil.

    Students respon to the

    teachers question

Students give attentions to theteachers explanation.

    Students give attentions to the

    video.

Closure Teacher asks randomly the principle of

    Bernoulli.

    Students give respon to the

    teachers question.

    Follow up activities

    1. Teacher asks students to read assignment on heat for the next lesson.2. Teacher asks students to do the exercises given.
