It is devotion of honoringyour patron saint.

The Feast of the Sto. NinoThe feast of theSto. Nino iscelebrated duringthe third week ofJanuary. Daysbefore the feastday, a nine-daynovena is said inthe church.

The devoteesare usuallywomen andteen-agegirls. Thereare also men devotees.

The devotees finish the novena prayers on the ninth day. This is highlighted by a procession of the image.

The Feast of Sto. NinoOn the first day,There ismerrymaking inevery home. Daysbefore the feastday , people startcleaning and fixingtheir homes, theyPrepare deliciousfood and decoratethe streets withbuntings.

On the eve of the feast day,there is a program at thetown plaza.The participantssing old and modern songs.They also dance native andmodern dances.

The town plaza iscrowded with people.What a beautiful andexciting day foreverybody!

Generalization • A sentence is a word or group of words that

expresses a complete thought.

• Sentences is used to make statements and to ask questions. They usually begins with a capital letter and end with a period.
