Although my courses are taught via correspondence students never feel isolated or unable to get in contact with their tutor. I answer all questions via email within 24 hrs and any question is a good question. Students are also free to call for phone support when they feel they would rather speak to me in person. Students are always encouraged to ask, better to ask rather than to be uncertain. I have taught photography online since 2006 and during this time I have gotten to really understand the needs of students. There are no deadlines in my courses. You enrol when you want and you submit your as- signments when you are ready. Everyone has their own circumstances and has their own agenda so you are able to take the course as quickly or as slowly as you find suitable. The courses have a simple structure. Each module consists of a tutorial and an assign- ment. The tutorials come in PDF format and you can print them so you are not reading off a screen. Some tutorials also have videos which you gain access to via the Internet. You can take what you learn from the courses as far as you wish. you want to take landscape images of waterfalls and make the water into a mist. Totally different camera settings which will both create a perfectly exposed image however understanding what to alter will profoundly ef-fect the way your image will appear. Learning these fundamentals gives you such freedom as a photographer to decide how you want your im-age to appear.

We look at shooting panoramic images without the need for expensive specialist equipment. We look at difficult lighting situations and ways to solve these problems to capture a perfect shot. The digital imaging included in these courses will greatly improve the quality of your images. Looking at simple yet effective ways to retouch as well as more advanced techniques. It is very common for students to enrol that have little photographic knowledge, some students that find the beginners course too basic can transfer to the advanced course.

It is also very common for budding photog-raphers to get distracted or overly mixed up in their camera gear. Your camera is merely a tool in which to capture light. Lighting, how to con-trol light and how to see light is as important as how to capture it. We look closely on ways to observe lighting. When to take images when using natural light and more importantly how to control or manipulate your lighting. Studio light-ing can cost thousands and I show you how to use simple household items to diffuse and capture light so you can create professional

Finally I will conclude with a few testimonials. Beginners Digital PhotographyAmber K, WA - “This course was absolutely fantastic. It has given me enough knowledge to self-learn from here on. The tutor, in particular, was excellent. He encouraged me to excel and at the same time cor-rected me and gave me another perspective. I really enjoyed this course. I would recommend it to anyone who would like to take up a hobby or start in the field. With me, I just turned my passion into a profession. Oh, and I am already enrolled in the advanced course.”Julie D, Aust - Hi David, I was very excited to receive your feedback and responses to my questions so quickly. A big thank you for your prompt reply and encouraging feedback. I certainly feel I’m improving and gaining

confidence both with my camera knowledge and my ability to take an interesting photo. I will certainly make sure to ask more questions when I get stuck rather than procrastinate! Kind regards from a very happy student.Advanced Digital PhotographySharon F, Queensland - I have my own photography business! “I really enjoyed the course. I learnt so much and am thankful for the excellent support I got from my tutor. I gained lots of confidence and the course enabled me to identify my weaknesses and develop my strengths. I have won awards in shows, been paid for my photographs, and my photographs are being exhibited in galleries. What’s more, I now have my own photography business shooting portraits, weddings and specialist animal photography. My career is never ending and I learn something new every day. Photography opened my eyes beyond the imaginary. I am so thoroughly enjoying my rewarding and fulfilling career.”Karen - That’s it ! …I finally made it to the end. It has been an amazing journey, looking back to where I started to where I am now. Thank you, for looking after this course and all the feedback you put in to each and every assignment, it certainly makes a difference. I have yet to really make any sort of career in photography yet, I still find it hard to head in the one direction. Since coming back from Malaysia, I have found start-ing out again difficult at times; the amount of photographers or mums with cameras out here is staggering. I think I would like to head into more food/commercial photography, it just means working out some marketing. Anyway .. This was just a short note to say thank you.
