Francois and his team were incredibly welcoming, friendly and professional, and made a long day filming at the studios an absolute treat for our team. The space itself is fantastic and lends itself to a creative and relaxed shooting environment. Staff did their best too accommodate us and our somewhat unusual requirements, and were extremely generous with their time and expertise. I can’t recommend Simulacra studio highly enough!

I shot art photography intensively for 4 days : 9-6 each day. Thus I can highly recommend this studio, gear and staff. Excellent preparation, support and space. Great model changing. Controllable lighting. Quite a few reliable monoblocs, reflectors. Backgrounds were pre-rigged efficiently. Hire gear was collected returned for a small fee on my behalf. I really enjoyed the good humoured professional atmosphere.

terms & conditions

Responsibility.

During the period of time booked, it your sole responsibility for the overall upkeep of both the studio and equipment.

Payment and Cancellation Policy.

Your booking will only be confirmed on payment received. Any ‘extras’ e.g. Colorama, additional equipment or further hours will have to be settled on the day of your booking. We require 7 days notice to postpone or cancel your studio booking, or 100% of the total booking fee would apply. All studio bookings must be paid by in full in advance. Simulacra Studio will always try to accommodate changing schedules and will be happy to refund or postpone any shoot if cancelled or rescheduled in respect of the above notice period.

Breakages and Insurance.

We are insured for accidental damage to equipment, and we also pick up the cost of any reasonable wear and tear. You agree to take every step to ensure that our equipment will not be damaged through your use.

If you are booking the Studio and Lights only, you must confirm that you know how to use the equipment safely and competently. A full equipment check will be carried out by our staff both before and after your session. If you damage any equipment, space, feature and fitting you agree to pay in full for any damage induced on either equipment or property.

We strongly recommend that you take out Insurance for Public Liability to cover both yourself and anyone engaged with the shoot. Those using the studio for commercial use must have Public Liability Insurance. Any claims for injury should be settled throughthe Photographers own insurance. Any person hiring or using the studio agrees to exclude the studio from any claims for injury or damage caused by those persons using the studio. Any photographer using the studio agrees to cover the cost of repair of any equipment directly damaged by them or any member of their party.

Simulacra Studio cannot be held liable or responsible for any event outside of it’s control that may affect your studio session – such as power cut, flooding, storm damage ‘etc.’

Studio Rules.

While in the studio please respect the following rules:

No Smoking in the studio, please use outside space.

Food or Drink is only to be consumed in the bar and cli-ent balcony.

No naked flames.

The main entrance door must be kept closed at all times.

Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

No Animals.

Please do not arrive more than 5 minutes before your session starts.

If you have not used the studio previously, you will be required to have an induction to ensure that you use theequipment safely and correctly. This will take place at thestart of your session and will take no longer than 10 minutes.

Set Up and Take down time:

The client must include set up and take down time withinthe hours booked to avoid overtime charges. The studio must be left in a clean and tidy condition or a cleaning feewill be charged. If you run over your booked hours an over time fee will be charged
