Photo Story 3

1. Download program http://www.windsphotostory.com. This is a free download for Windows XP. To download you need the Windows XP product key. The program uses Windows Media Player 10 which can be freely downloaded or upgraded.

2. Open program and tick Begin a new story.

3. Click Next.

4. Browse to the file where you have saved your pictures.

5. Hold down Ctrl- click to select individual photographs or Shift- click at the beginning and end of the file to select all.

6. Use drag and drop to re-order photographs and click on green arrows to rotate.

7. Click on icon to remove black borders of rotated photographs- you will loose some of the picture.

8. Click on buttons to: • Correct colour levels • Correct red eye

Or click on Edit to: • Crop and Rotate • Auto Fix colours • Add Effect

9. Click on arrows to move between photographs. You will be asked whether you want to save the changes to each photograph. Clicking on Reset will remove all editing. Changes to photographs will not affect originals. 10. Click Next.

11. Add text if required. Font type, size and colour can be changed.

12. Click Next when text has been added to appropriate photographs.

13. Program allows up to five minutes of recorded time for each picture.

14. Photo Story determines the panning and zooming effects automatically for pictures in your story or you can choose to control these effects manually in the Customize Motion dialog box. By setting the motion manually, you can select the general areas of a picture that will appear at the beginning and end of the picture's video clip.

15. Click Next.

16. You can add background music that plays during your story. You can use music from your computer and the Photo Story custom music in your story. The Create Music option lets you customize prerecorded pieces and styles of music by selecting the genre, style, bands, mood, tempo, and intensity of the music.

17. A different piece of music can play for each picture or for a group of pictures. You can add as many pieces of music to a story as there are pictures in the story.

19. When you click on Next the computer will build your story. This may take a few minutes

20. View your story through Windows Media Player. Right click on the picture and select Full Screen to remove menus from screen.

18. Save your story. You must click on Save Project if you want to be able to edit your story at any time.
