Kayla Harris CI 350 Professor Blanco Photo Shop Assignment For this assignment I decided to put Edgar Allen Poe’s head on another man’s body posing as a teacher with, “Writing Poetry Is FUN!” on the chalkboard behind him. To make this transformation I used Photo Shop. I first changed the color of the first picture below to black and white. I did this by selecting the mode option at the top, clicking on gray-scale, and then flatten. I then used the stamp tool to cover up the logo and numbers that are originally on the picture to make the chalkboard all the same color and changed the pictures resolution to 100. Next, I focused on the picture of Edgar Allen Poe. I used the lasso tool to outline Poe’s head, then used the move tool to make sure I could move his head. I saved Poe’s head selection then copied and pasted it to the other picture. Once Edgar Allen Poe’s head was on the picture with a man’s body in front of a chalkboard, I used the move tool to attach Poe’s head the man’s body while making his head the appropriate size. I used the smudge tool to soften the edges around Poe’s head and make his neck look like it was actually attached to the man’s body. Lastly, I used the text tool to type in the wording on the blackboard.
