Photographs to be takenThe purpose of this photo shoot is for a music magazine. I will be taking photos of various college students in casual clothes but using props such as a guitar, piano and microphones to give them a music look. I aim to do half of the photographs outside to use the natural light and the environment to get a good background shot with one of the musicians I the foreground. Then I will used the photograph studio to take more professional photographs of the main people who will be displayed on the front cover and have a plain white background. Then I will compare both sets of photographs and pick out my top ten choices.

Location of Photo shootI will be shooting my photographs in a natural environment outside and in a professional looking studio.

Equipment & Props neededCasual clothing will be worn by all people in the photo-shootI will be using props such as guitars, piano and microphones

Techniques that will be used

I will be using techniques such as depth of field with the background being blurred and the foreground being crisp and clear. I will need to experiment with my aperture on manual settingsWith the photographs I will be taking outside I will be using leading lines and rules of third to make a large photograph will lots going on.

How light quality can be used to help convey the visual messageOutside photographs will use natural light this will make the image look more spontaneous as the light will constantly be moving. Also the different locations will change the way the light exposes the photo.

Health and safety considerationsI will have to consider for the outside shots that people are carful with the places they take a photograph. For example up a tree or any high places.
