DIRECTIONS FOR USE

1. Determine size of area to be treated – measure length and width in feet, then multiply to determine coverage area in square feet (length x width). Next, subtract non-lawn areas.

2. Use the spreader setting chart to determine the appropriate setting.

3. Apply evenly over dry grass. Avoid streaks, skips and overlaps – thorough coverage is important. On hot days (above 80° F), water the lawn to rinse particles off the grass.

WHAT THIS PRODUCT DOES

HOW TO APPLY

ProCare® Lawn Fertilizer is a general purpose lawn food with iron for deep greening. It is a high analysis fertilizer containing slow release nitrogen to give your lawn a vigorous green color. It is a safe formulation that will not burn your lawn when used as directed, yet it is long-lasting and will gradually continue to feed your lawn up to 3 months. Since it has a high nitrogen content, it goes much further than conventional fertilizers.

Apply one bag of ProCare® Lawn Fertilizer evenly over 15,000 square feet of lawn area. Apply with a calibrated spreader (either rotary or drop) – never apply by hand. Check listed spreader settings to apply at the proper rate. Begin application on the outside of your lawn, working toward the center, overlapping slightly to ensure complete coverage. In Florida, do not apply more than once per year.

NOTE: Application of this quality ProCare® fertilizer is recommended as part of an overall program for a vigorous lawn. A lawn typically will utilize 1 to 4 pounds of nitrogen per 1,000 square feet per growing season. When used as directed, this product will supplement your regular fertilizer program by providing 0.784 pounds of nitrogen per 1,000 square feet. Please consult your local extension office for questions regarding a regular fertilizer program.

Note: The spreader settings listed are approximate. It is important to check calibration of spreader frequently to ensure spreader is functioning properly and applying product evenly. To check calibration, accurately weigh a few pounds into your spreader and apply to a measured area. Then adjust spreader setting if necessary in order to ensure correct rate of application.

Important: Always use the recommended setting for your spreader for this particular product as over-application may cause injury to your lawn.NOTE: We recommend that you keep this product (and all fertilizers) out of the reach of children. Avoid getting on concrete walks or drives, swimming pools, or stucco as the composition of certain fertilizer elements can cause permanent stains. Keep in a dry place.

Apply only to actively growing turf. Do not apply near water, storm drains or drainage ditches. Do not apply if heavy rain is expected. Apply this product only to your lawn, and sweep any product that lands on the driveway, sidewalk, or street back onto your lawn. Check with your local Cooperative Extension Agency to obtain specific information on local turf management.

This product contains iron that aids in the greening process but WILL stain sidewalks and driveways. Sweep off any product that may have drifted onto these areas.
