Workhouse Arts Center Course Policies (students should save this page)-Instructors: Our instructors are professional artists and educators, for more information about an instructor, please visit our website.Cancellation Policy: The Workhouse Arts Center reserves the right to cancel any class, workshop or camp which does not meet its minimum enrollment by six daysprior to the start date. If a class, workshop or camp is cancelled, enrolled students are entitled to transfer to another offering without penalty (applying their paid tuitiontowards the new class) or may request to receive a full refund. Please register early!

Refund Policy: Class refunds are given minus $15 if the refund is requested in writing (i.e. letter or e-mail) by one day prior to the first day of a class. Any requests forworkshop or camp refunds must be made no later than one week prior to the start of the workshop or camp. Those ineligible for a refund may request an acknowledge-ment from the Workhouse Institute of a tax-deductable contribution in the amount of the unused tuition.

Late Enrollment A $15 registration fee will be assessed for any class, workshop or camp registration received after the first week of a class, or the first day of a workshopor a camp. (Late registrations are only allowed for classes that do not have full enrollment.)

Transfer Fees: A transfer fee of $15 will be assessed for each transfer from one class to another, unless the transfer was the result of an administrative decision. All trans-fers must be made prior to the third meeting of the class.

Workhouse Institute Policy. Students will receive a Student Guide listing policies and procedures specific to their medium and which are consistent within a programa student is enrolled in on the first day of class. Students or participants enrolled in camps and workshops are required to obey all safety standards, policies, and pro-cedures. If you are pregnant, or think you may be, please consult a physician and instructor before registering for a class. Students enrolling in dance, movement, andfitness classes should consult a physician and instructor prior to registering for a class. The Workhouse Institute is not liable for any personal injury or loss of property,including art work belonging to any student enrolled in a class, camp, or workshop.

Weather Policy. The Workhouse Institute will follow the inclement weather policy for Fairfax County Public Schools. If FCPS has implemented their inclement weatheraction, please check our website (WorkhouseArts.org ), call the Lorton Arts Foundation office line (703-584-2900), or watch your local TV channel and listen to WTOPradio (103.5FM, 103.9FM and 820AM) for the latest in school cancellations.

Workhouse Holidays: New Year's Day, Easter Sunday, Memorial Day, July 4, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. These Holidays, or any additional days designated by theinstructor, may have make-up dates and will be scheduled with students.
