Winter Sports Report by Kaylee and Olivia

Last Friday we played football and netball against North Morley Primary School.

The football result was North Morley 36 points defeating Weld Square 16 Points. It was an outstanding and physically challenging game. Thanks to the umpires from Morley Senior High School. They were fantastic representatives of their school and did a great job.

In the netball, Weld Square won both games. Netball Team A scored 21 to North Morley 6 and Netball Team B 9 to North Morley 2. We had so much fun and can’t wait to do it again this Friday 15 June against Morley Primary School. Thanks to all the coaches, parent helpers, scorers and team members for participating in these wonderful games. Thanks also to the spectators who came along to support us.

Hello Everyone The next stage of the playground is ready to go! I want to send out a huge thank you to the team of parents who took time out of their long weekend to clean up fairyland. Two days worth of work done in one and before the rain, job well done.

Our Quiz Night is being planned for Friday night 7 September. We are seeking prizes or auction items. If you have a business or employer who can assist, please contact us. We would accept vouchers, services, merchandise etc. and will advertise sponsors.

The colouring competition regarding our Kiss and Go car park has been completed. Winners were presented at Friday’s assembly and their entries are displayed in the office. We were very impressed with the quality of entries and choosing the winners was difficult. Congratulations to Skye, Corey, Declan, Isabella, April, David and Jaxon.

Our next P&C meeting is on Tuesday 19 June, 6.00 - 7.30pm in the staff room. Everyone is welcome. We will discuss the Quiz Night location, playground progress, supporting Term 3 sporting activities, Arts Festival Evening and Free Dress Day.
