Dear Fronteras Families! Congratulations and Thank You to Mrs. Lopez and team for another successful holiday bazaar! Even with the hiccup of having to cancel late Friday due to bad weather; the gym was full on Sunday with vendors and customers! Thank you to EVERYONE who made the bazaar a super success! What a great way to kick off the holiday season! As we end our week early for Thanksgiving break, I would like to send everyone off with the beautiful lyrics from my most favorite singer, Josh Groban. His song “Thankful” has a beautiful message. While the holidays can be a very stressful time, we need to remember that there is still much to be thankful for.Wishing you a safe and peaceful holiday weekend!

“Thankful”Some days we forget
To look around us.Some days we can’t see
The joy that surrounds us.So caught up inside ourselvesWe take when we should give.
So for tonight we pray for What we know can be.
And on this day we hope forWhat we still can’t see.
It’s up to us to be the change. And even though we all can still do more
There’s so much to be Thankful for.
Look beyond ourselvesThere’s so much sorrow. It’s way too late to say
I’ll cry tomorrow. Each of us must find our truth
It’s so long overdue.
So for tonight we pray forWhat we know can be.
And every day we hope forWhat we still can’t see.
It’s up to us to be the change. And even though we all can still do more
There’s so much to be Thankful for.
Even with our differencesThere is a place we’re all connected.
Each of us can find each other’s light.
So for tonight we pray forWhat we know can be.
And on this day we hope forWhat we still can’t see.
It’s up to us to be the change. And even though this world needs so much more
There’s so much to be Thankful for.

Hello Fronteras Families,
We are very excited about our upcoming Christmas Concert, December 9th, at Wasilla Bible Church, 1651 W. Nicola Ave., Wasilla. The church sits behind Burchell School across from Spenard Builders Supply. Thank you to Mr. and Mrs. Stamoolis for helping us secure this location! Both the facility and parking lots are huge and will accommodate all guests easily!Students are asked to wear a white shirt/blouse, black pants/skirt, and black shoes. Accents of red, green, silver, and/or gold are encouraged! The students and I have talked about Music being a team sport. It takes everyone working together. As with most team sports, uniforms are important – it promotes team spirit. We have the same expectation, so please support our dress request, and have our performers in black and white!Larry Bottjen, owner of DVD Technology, will video the entire concert and have DVDs available for purchase before Christmas break. More information on pre-ordering a DVD will go home with students.
Concert Schedule:
Kindergarten & 1st Grade – 5:30pm
2nd & 3rd Grades – 6:05pm
4th – 8th Grades – 6:40pm*Please have your student(s) at Wasilla Bible Church 20 minutes before their performance. There will be signage to help you locate the line-up room.
Thank you for your support! We look forward to seeing you December 9th!
Sincerely,Ms. Easton

What an amazing turn out of food, help and great people. Thank you for being such an inspiration to our children here at Fronteras.
We are so lucky to have so many parents in our school. Our 2/3 Feast was a great joy. The students had plenty to eat, they parents
were very happy to be there giving thanks in this special day and then we had a great afternoon full of great art activities. Our gingerbread strings turn out to be of mom and dad and not just children. Our thankful trees
were full of gratitude and faithfulness I read in one of them. What a great word. Thanks for all our children. Our turkeys were full of surprises, they were so happy making them. Everyone either ate theirs or took it home.
Again thanks to everyone who showed up and to those that participated in one way or another. I could not have done it without all of your support.
God bless you all on this Thanksgiving Gracias
Nerissa Torres
