he Regional Convention Steering Committee (RCSC) would like to officially welcome you toPhoenix. This is our third of six years at the amazingly beautiful Orpheum theatre along with thenewly renovated Renaissance Hotel. This is your weekend to light up the stage, roll the dice, and betreated as a queen. The RCSC has been working tirelessly these past few months to plan a weekend tobe enjoyed by all.
Don’t forget to check out the boutique hosted by our very own current Region 21 chorus champions, the San Diego Chorus. There is sure to be something for everyone at the boutique. You also will NOTwant to miss the ever-popular Club 21 Jamboree on Thursday night. Our Club 21 members are certainly queens in our hearts and are the women in this great organization whom have mastered ourbarbershop craft. Then check out the Harmony Showcase on Saturday evening to hear the top placingquartets and choruses from Region 21 that are continuing to strive for excellence.
You will be given the opportunity to attend two education courses throughout the weekend. The firstwill be on Friday morning with Kathleen Hansen, the Director of the San Diego Chorus, as she leadsthose in attendance in learning how to “tag with finesse”. The second educational opportunity will beheld on Sunday morning. Do you ever wonder what the numbers on your score sheet mean or beenperplexed by a specific comment? This is your opportunity to find out and to ask questions to our talented women who serve our organization in ‘the pit’.
Region 21 convention this year will host an afterglow in a true Las Vegas fashion. There will be acasino night with blackjack, roulette, Texas Hold’em, & craps tables held on Saturday night. ‘Casinomoney’ can be purchased for only $5 and a portion of those proceeds will benefit the Young Womanin Harmony. Be sure to cash in your winnings to purchase raffle tickets for an opportunity to takehome an AMAZING prize. Directly across the hall from the casino will be a quartet lounge for all toenjoy as well. The RCSC hopes the casino and quartet lounge will give everybody an opportunity tosing together, play together, reconnect with old friends, and to make new friends.
Please take some time this weekend to thank the wonderful women of the San Diego Chorus, our Assistance Chapter, for their efforts in hosting another successful weekend. We send them toVegas with our best wishes and with harmony in our hearts. They will make Region 21 proud!
Your Regional Convention Steering Committee (RCSC),Denise, Judy, Lou, Della, Victoria, Cherie, Darren & Michele
