Students may wear spirit day shirts and uniform pants to

From Nurse Casey
It is required by Indiana Immunization Law that all students en-rolled in school must show written proof of immunization. Cur-rently, 50% of the 6thgraders have not sent their records to me and appear to be missing
2-3 of the required vaccines. Indiana Code also allows for schools to exclude students from attending until proof of required im-munizations is received; however, if we all work together, stu-dents can avoid missing valuable school days. After 9/24, I will begin to send students home if I haven’t received either proof of immunization, or proof of an appointment to get them. Please email me or call me and let me know how I can help.
Jo Casey, RN [email protected] or 435-8326 from 9am to 1pm
Reitz Freshman Enrollment Night

Fall Festival Time!
The PTSA is once again collecting Pepsi
canned soft drinks such as Pepsi, Diet Pepsi,
Mt. Dew & Dr. Pepper, (as well as bottled
water) during the month of September.
The winning homeroom will receive a donut
party the week after the Fall Festival.
The Fall Festival is approaching fast.
The Perry Heights PTSA booth #9 (across from the library and
rides, close to Wabash Avenue) has a healthy and not-so healthy
(but really, really good) menu this year!
We have our usual Hawaiian Burger and Volcano Burger, along
with the Sausage Burger, Cheeseburger and Hamburger. New
this year is our version of Perry Heights’ “BUTTERS BEER”. Tasty
and even legal for the kids to drink!
For those of you who are watching your weight and want some-
thing “healthy”, we have partnered with Deaconess to offer two
“Wise Choice” items. The first is a Salad-On-A-Stick. It is exactly
what it says...romaine lettuce, tomatoes, mushrooms, peppers,
etc., served on a stick with your choice of Balsamic Vinaigrette or
Raspberry Vinaigrette Dressing.
Also, for another “Wise Choice” item we will be serving a “Fruit
Cup w/Cinnamon Yogurt Dipping Sauce.
Come visit the Perry Heights booth and try our some of our new
items!
Thanks for supporting Perry Heights and your PTSA. Queen-King Contestants
Perry Heights will be well represented
by Lani Mobley and Kenneth Sanford at
the Fall Festival Queen/King Contest.
Come support our contestants on Tues-
day, October 2nd at 8:15pm at the main
stage.
Best of luck to them both!
Youth of the Day
All middle and high schools in Vanderburgh County were asked to
nominate an outstanding student from their school for the Fall
Festival Youth of the Day.
Perry Heights’ nominee was selected as Youth of the Day this year.
Come support our student on Tuesday evening, at 6:30pm at the
main stage.
We will reveal the winner in October’s newsletter.
Good luck to our Tug of War Team!
They will compete against St. Phillips School on Tuesday,
October 2nd at 5:00pm in front of the main stage.
Volunteers Needed
The PTSA Fall Festival booth has a few
openings for workers they are trying
to fill.
If you have some time to give during
the week of Oct 1st-6th, please call
the school office so we can direct you
to the correct person. Or page 4 of
the newsletter has each day’s booth
chairmen’s email addresses listed.
Look for the Public Education Foundation Dunking Booth on Friday
at the Fall Festival. You might be able to dunk our principal,
Mr. Goodman!
