Philippine Military Academy Alumni Association Incorporated PMA Alumni Center, Camp General Emilio Aguinaldo Quezon City RESOLUTION NO. 09-02 WHEREAS, the PMA Cavaliers Cooperative, affiliate of the PMAAAI, has approved the Plan to raise the funds for the construction of the PMA Cavaliers Center through automatic monthly payroll (or pension) Check deductions from its members. WHEREAS, the PMA Cavaliers Cooperative Share Capital Formation and Benefits Plan (SCF&BF) has divided its members in three categories for the purpose of determining the amount of the said automatic monthly payroll (or pension) Check deductions, as follows: • Category 1 – Php100 from members of PMA Class 2000 and subsequent Classes; • Category 2 – Php200 from members of PMA Class 1999 and earlier PMA Classes who are still in the Active Service as of the Plan Inception Date; and • Category 3 – Php400 from members of PMA Class 1951 and subsequent PMA Classes who are in Retired Status as of the Plan Inception Date. WHEREAS, the foregoing automatic monthly payroll Check deductions shall not be effected for any member of the PMA Classes who are still in the Active Service as of the Plan Inception Date AND who has submitted in writing the Option for Exclusion. WHEREAS, the foregoing automatic monthly pension Check deductions shall only be effected for members of PMA Class 1951 and subsequent PMA Classes who are in the Retired Status as of the Plan Inception Date AND who are included in the enrolment list containing at least 90% of eligible members in the said PMA Class. WHEREAS, Participants in the Share Capital Formation and Benefits Plan are entitled to Php100,000 death benefit during the construction phase of the PMA Cavaliers Center; and which expense shall be paid as part of the construction cost. WHEREAS, Participants in the Share Capital Formation and Benefits Plan are entitled to Php200,000 death benefit after the completion of the PMA Cavaliers Center; and which expense shall be paid as part of the operating business expense. WHEREAS, any Participant may terminate his automatic monthly payroll (or pension) Check deductions and shall be entitled to the full refund of the total amount so deducted. And the Plan provisions for death benefit, likewise, shall be terminated. NOW THEREFORE, in view of the intrinsic values of the PMA Cavaliers Center to PMAAAI members, in particular, and to the whole community, in general, RESOLVE as it is hereby RESOLVED that the SCF&BF is hereby endorsed to the Armed Forces of the Philippines Chief of Staff, GENERAL ALEXANDER B YANO, and the Philippine National Police Chief, DIRECTOR GENERAL JESUS A VERSOZA, for the implementation of the PMA Cavaliers Cooperative Share Capital Formation and Benefits Plan.
