We will be having a sign-up sheet at the SOVO fair for all of those interested in coming

to a movie night we will be hosting at our house. We have a new projector for hosting

movie nights outside for larger groups. If potential members cannot sign up at SOVOfair, they can email us [email protected],no later than 6:30, to be

added to our guest list. We will send a group of brothers to the Rhodes Brandt Patio

to escort potential members at 6:45 and will also have a group to escort them back at

night.

27Brotherhood Night

4:00 PM - 7:00-10:00 PM

This event will begin with only current brothers, we will be going over recruitment, risk

management, and other issues to make sure our semester starts off correct. Later we will be going

the Comedy Show at 8:00

28First Meeting

6:00-8:00 PM

This is the first meeting of our semester. It will be open to all potential members, no notic

required. At this meeting, all of our $1,000 scholarship applications are due!

We will have an information table set for any interested individual to come andtalk to the brothers. We will be handing out free Panera foods and will

mention both the interest meeting we will have on September 1st, alongside our

involvement at the upcoming NASCAR race

our headquarters offers, and our vision as a colony in respect to other fraternities

group of brothers to the Rhodes Brandt Patio to escort potential members at 6:45 and will also have agroup to escort them back at night.

Our second meeting of the year will also be open to all potential members. At thismeeting, we will have one of our alumni Mr. John D Watt, give a presentation on what

Phi Kappa Psi has done for him. John is an ex-national president of our fraternity

Brotherhood Gym Night, we will be making groups with potential members. RockClimbing, Racquetball

6:30-7:30We will be meeting downstairs at the bottom of Shafer Dining Court (6:30). We will split up into

groups of four, two brothers to two potentials.

8Study Night

The brothers will be meeting at the library for a study night. Potential members are

encouraged to come, regardless of major or classes being taken. Our brothers cover awide range of studies and will be able to connect to any student.

9NASCAR

Meet at Rhodes4:30-11:30

For those that took interest and signed up by August 31st, our brothers will be volunteering for ourPhilanthropy, the Boys and Girls Club, to raise money by selling food items during the race. We will meet

as a group and travel together to the raceway.

2:30 -11:30For those that volunteered the day before, we will be meeting at the Rhodes patio at 2:30. We willthen be going to NASCAR. This day we will not be volunteering, but will be enjoying the race (the

reward for volunteering the night before)

We will be matching up with the Zeta Phi Beta Sorority to have a Mixer/Community Service event

where we go to Richmonds Belle Isle to do a park cleanup. This will be followed by BBQ on theisle.

18Colony Meeting

This colony meeting will be held open to all potentials. Unfortunately, they will be required to leave at

7:30. We will use the remaining 30 minutes to vote on future pledges.

This meeting will be held to inform potential members that they are or are not going to be offered to pledgeour colony.

5:00:00 - 6:30Beginning of Pledge Education and brother-pledge interaction. We will begin talking about thefirst pillar of our colony being a gentleman this will include how to dress like a man, how to

interact with women, and dinner etiquette.

Mixer

7:00 -10:00We are in the progress of planning a mixer for this date. Our goal is for our members to use the

skills they learned earlier that day, and use them for the mixer.

2:;00 PMThis date focus will be on our fraternitys history and an introduction to Greek life in general

terms. Also, we will open discussion for bigs and littles.

We will be breaking into groups of four. In the groups, a brother will lead a discussion on what our

creed means and how we apply it to our everyday lives. We will talk about how the fraternity hasaffected us individually, and will ask pledges how they can connect to our creed.

This day will be directed towards time management: How to have a successful college career andbalance it with fraternity life. We will also be talking about how the colony is structured in terms of

leadership roles.

807.5 Clay StreetThis day we will be reviewing, on an individual basis, our leadership skills. We will take interesting tests to

help us find out what type of leader we are, and how we can improve our leadership skills.
