Meet our founder:PHB Ethical Beauty is the creation of British entrepreneur Rose Brown. Rose founded PHB to provide a natural, ethical and eco-friendly alternative to mainstream beauty products, which often contain animal derived ingredients, harmful chemicals and are tested on animals.

Many people don’t realise that beauty products can contain unethical ingredients that can irritate and damage skin, as well as potentially causing wider

Over the last 50 years more than 10,000 new chemicals have been invented, many of which haven’t been tested on humans for their long term side effects.

Skin irritating chemicals, harsh alcohols and animal derived ingredients are commonly found in many mainstream and high

At PHB Ethical Beauty we understand skin. Up to 60% of what we put onto our skin can be absorbed into the blood stream.

• No Parabens: Skin irritating preservative found in many types of products. Linked to hormone imbalance & potential carcinogen.

• No Sodium Lauryl Sulphate (SLS): Found in products that foam. Can cause eye irritations, skin rashes, hair loss, dandruff & allergic reactions.

• No Synthetic Fragrances or Dyes: Used to alter the smell and appearance of products. Made of many chemicals that can be toxic to

skin, health & the environment.

• No GM ingredients: Not enough is known about the safety or long term health implications of using

Genetically Modified ingredients.

• No phthalates: Known to cause damage to the liver, kidneys, lungs

& reproductive system.

• No nanoparticles: Not enough is known about long-term implications of these tiny particles that can easily

cross into the blood stream.

Frequently Asked Questions:Are the Minerals suitable for all skin types, even very sensitive skin?Yes. Our mineral cosmetics are made using only 100% pure minerals and are free from preservaties making them perfect for even the most sensitive skin. People with skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis and rosacea are able use our cosmetics with very successful results.

Are they suitable for acne-prone skin?Our minerals are very beneficial for acne and blemish prone skin. They are non-comedogenic which means they allow skin to breathe and heal naturally. Our unique blend has anti-inflammatory properties that calm and soothe

Will the Minerals dry out my skin?No, this is a mis-conception arisen from the high use of talc in some powder formulas and talc can be very drying to the skin. In fact many people find the minerals actually make their skin softer. We recommend applying your PHB moisturiser prior to the application of your minerals.

Are the Minerals also suitable for mature or aging skin?Yes, they are very suitable for mature skin and are far more flattering than many liquid foundations which tend to accentuate lines and imperfections. Our minerals have light-reflective properties which lessen the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles whilst giving a healthy, natural glow to the skin. Are the Minerals waterproof?Our Minerals are water resistant and function very well in the rain or during swimming and exercise. If the skin becomes wet, don’t wipe but gently pat skin dry and then apply another light dusting if necessary.
