2 Validity

This document is intended for qualified persons. The activities described here must only be carri-ed out by persons with the following minimum qualifications:• Training in the installation and commissioning of electrical devices• Training with respect to electrical hazards and locally applicable safety requirements• Knowledge of the applicable standards and directives• Familiarity and compliance with this document and all safety instructions.

3 Intended use

The Phase Splitter is an add-on installation kit to be used for installations in which the single-phase house connection cables have a diameter greater than 16mm² and/or an inco-

ming current larger than 63A. The installation of the Phase Splitter is only to be used in com-bination with installation instructions for the SOLARWATT AC Sensor 63.

4 Safety instructions

• To ensure that the cross-section of an in-coming cable is not undershot, all 3 cables supplied must be connected.

• The phase splitter must not be used with incoming cables with a cross-section lar-ger than 30 mm².

• If the cables supplied are too short for your arrangement of the clamps and ACS63, ca-bles must be custom made which fulfill the following criteria:

- Same length, same cross-section, same material

- Wire end ferrules, if necessary accor-ding to local installation instructions

• The installer is responsible for correct in-stallation

• Only the connections described in the in-structions may be made. Do not connect other cables to the free terminals..
