Project activity:• Project 2: MTSR: Western Barrel glazing, PV and painting complete up to bay 25. Eastern Barrel: Glazing complete up to Bay 19. Clock tower works complete. Additional deck
removed. East Gutter complete up to Bay 7, Central Gutter up to Bay 9 and West Gutter up to Bay 8. Southern Façade works continuing with 90 panes of glass installed.• Project 3: OBS facility brought into use. Footbridge tiling complete. • 2 Minor RIDDORs– A lift engineer sustained cuts requiring stitches after a
hydraulic hose burst causing it to "whip." He visited the on site OH who advised hospital treatment
– An operative slipped on accessing the Eastern Barrel Roof and twisted his knee. He attended University College Hospital X -Ray revealed cartilage damage.
• 5 FAT’s– Injury to eye after wiping his eye whilst wearing
contaminated gloves– Injury to leg after coming into contact with scaffold tube– Rolled ankle on scaffold fitting – Damaged hand whilst moving scaffold– Twinge to back during lifting operation
• 100 reported Close Calls, 1 Significant. A cable was struck during trial hole excavation works on the station forecourt area. Initial inquires have failed to identify if cable was live and what it fed.
