Applications

The new PFLITSCH ProTect corrugated conduit system expands the existing product

range in the field of cable protection. The innovative system of flexible corrugated

conduits and fittings made of high-quality polyamide combines quality, safety and

ease of installation.

The PFLITSCH ProTect corrugated conduit system is characterised by its very good

resistance to weathering and the effects of UV radiation, in addition to the excel-

lent degree of protection it offers against mechanical and chemical stresses. Selec-

ted types satisfy the strict requirements of fire protection standard EN 45545-2 for

rail vehicles.

The PFLITSCH ProTect fittings, with the characteristic retaining ring, are compatible

with all ProTect corrugated conduits with fine and coarse profiles and guarantee a

safe and permanent connection.

The approved system is available in three versions. Even the basic variant achieves

IP protection rating 66, while the variant with additional sealing ring satisfies the

strictest requirements of IP protection ratings 68 and 69.

The PFLITSCH UNI ProTect version furthermore allows additional sealing of the

cable installed in the corrugated conduit, providing it with IP 68 protection and

relieving the strain on the cable. The PFLITSCH „soft pinching“ principle thereby

guarantees maximum protection for the cable.

be capable of withstanding the extreme dynamic stresses exerted by industrial

robots. Characteristics such as torsional stiffness, flexibility and also abrasion re-

sistance are decisive selection criteria here.

In the railway industry, products which provide reliable protection against external

influencing factors such as heat, cold and UV radiation are the primary choice.

The impact resistance of the corrugated conduits and fittings at low temperatures

takes on particular significance here, as does the reaction of the materials to fire

and fulfilment of fire protection standards such as EN 45545-2.
