23. 23. Situated in the commune of Comprgnac, 6 km east of Millau, the village of Peyre is built on the side of a colossal rock that rises steeply above the right bank of the Tarn.
    The Millau viaduct crosses the Tarn valley3 km upstream of Peyre. In 2003 Peyre became the 10th village in Aveyron to be listed among the most beautiful in France.
