PEXforum 2020Philanthropy Europe Networks Forum23-24 January 2020
Impact Hub, Madrid, Spain
Hosted by DAFNE and AEF
Early supporters include Impact Hub & La Caixa Foundation & Oak Foundation
Why do we need “Philanthropy Europe“?
• In Europe philanthropy is impactful, diverse, complementary, innovative, conditioned by differences in history and culture, and still full of untapped potential.
• Philanthropy in Europe is challenged around its legitimacy, critical public perception, shrinking space due to unfavourable policies and high expectations about its effectiveness and impact – issues that need to be addressed by the ecosystem as a whole
• The “PEXforum” is the unique space to create a European philanthropy identity as a common ground to advance the philanthropy ecosystem in a changing world.
What do we want to achieve?
• Identify ecosystem challenges and find ways how to overcome them
• Strengthen the role of national, European and international philanthropy support organisations as enablers, incubators and developers of more informed, connected and effective individual foundations.
• Encourage leadership and collaboration to leverage the potential of philanthropy across the continent.
• Build the network of philanthropy support organisations across Europe.
How does it unfold?
• 100 - 120 participants from regional, national, European and thematic philanthropy networks will gather on 23&24 January2020 in Madrid
• Bring your team & board: each association may bring up to 5 participants to join this unique peer exchange event
• Co-designed ineractive programme incl. „open space“ formats -everyone is a speaker
• Have your „in the nutshell“ talk moment
• Let‘s link up #LiftUpPhilanthropy, #NextPhilanthropy, #PhilanthropyWorks and #4Cs
• This forum will gather the best minds of the field, involve experts from other areas to challenge and inspire us
• The gathering will be professionally facilitated to ensure you walk away with the best possible take-aways.
