Jn. 18:10- Severed ear from
Malchus
Brothers, my heart's desire and prayer to God for them is that they may be saved. For I bear them witness that they have a
zeal for God, but not according to knowledge. For, being ignorant of the righteousness of God, and seeking to
establish their own, they did not submit to God's righteousness.(Romans 10:1-3 ESV)
And the Lord's servant must not be quarrelsome but kind to everyone, able
to teach, patiently enduring evil, correcting his opponents with gentleness. God may perhaps grant them repentance
leading to a knowledge of the truth, and they may come to their senses and
escape from the snare of the devil, after being captured by him to do his will.
(2 Timothy 2:24-26 ESV)
As for the one who is weak in faith, welcome him, but not to quarrel over
opinions. One person believes he may eat anything, while the weak person eats
only vegetables. Let not the one who eats despise the one who abstains, and let not
the one who abstains pass judgment on the one who eats, for God has welcomed
him.(Romans 14:1-3 ESV)
Peter had good intentions Let his zeal carry him too far Seemed to have trouble in the
clinches
Mt. 26:59-75- in face of a
servant girl
Mt. 26:56- fled with other
disciples
Gal. 2:11-12- guilty of
partiality
You therefore, beloved, knowing this beforehand, take care that
you are not carried away with the error of lawless people and lose your own
stability. But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus
Christ. To him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.
(2 Peter 3:17-18 ESV)

We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; persecuted, but
not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed; (2 Corinthians 4:8-9 ESV)
Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing
of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. (James
1:2-4 ESV)

attention“Simon, Simon, behold, Satan demanded to have you, that he might sift you like wheat,
but I have prayed for you that your faith may not fail. And when you have turned again,
strengthen your brothers.” (Luke 22:31-32 ESV)
