The four games televised by the network have taken an average of two hours, 39 minutes to play. Friday’s game between BC and BU was played in a season-long two hours, 54 minutes. That is 55 minutes longer than the one hour, 59 minutes that it took the Eagles and Maine Black Bears to complete a game on Nov. 4...BU attempted just 15 shots in the game, marking a season low for a BC opponent and the fewest shots against a BC team since New Hampshire recorded 12 shots in a 4-0 BC win on March 4 of last season...BC junior goaltender Parker Milner recorded just 10 saves, marking the fewest for a BC goalie since Matti Kaltiainen recorded just seven saves in a 3-2 loss to Boston University on March 11, 2004 in game one of the Hockey East Quarterfinals in Kelley Rink. BC attempted a season-high 45 shots, surpassing its previous high of 43 shots at Northeastern on Oct. 22 in a 4-3 overtime win.

BOSTON UNIVERSITY: The Terriers have earned three wins this season over teams ranked in the top three nationally at the time they faced them (Boston College twice, Denver)…Senior Corey Trivino has scored a goal in seven of his last eight games and now has 10 goals on the year to set a career high…BU has successfully killed off 31 of its opponents’ last 34 power plays…The Terriers had a five-game win streak snapped with Sunday’s loss but the streak was the team’s longest streak since it won its final seven games during its 2009 NCAA championship run…BU and BC are now an even 7-7-1 in their 15 meetings since the beginning of the 2008-09 season…The Terriers won two road games against BC in the same regular season for the first time since the 1993-94 campaign…BU and Colgate are tied for the nation lead in shorthanded goals with six each…The Terriers have had 20 players record at least one point this season and 14 of them have recorded a goal…BU has already clinched season series against rivals BC and New Hampshire.

MAINE: Maine swept Vermont on the weekend to push its winning streak to three games and its unbeaten streak to four games… Spencer Abbott scored five goals and dished out four assists to finish the weekend with nine points. His hat trick on Friday night was the first of his career…He eclipsed the 100 point plateau on Friday and currently has 43 goals and 64 assists for 107 points in 126 career games played...Maine is 5-0-0 on the season when scoring four or more goals…The 5-2 win over Vermont was just the third game this season that has been decided by more than two goals…Maine is 2-1-0 in those games…Joey Diamond has tallied a point in a career-high seven straight games…Maine finished the weekend 5-for-8 on the power play…. Maine scored a season-high four goals in a period on Friday night when it notched four in the third frame…Friday night was the first time this season that Maine came back to win a goal when trailing after two periods…Maine goalie Dan Sullivan (York, Pa.) has stopped 29 or more shots in each of his last four games.

MASSACHUSETTS: Entering the Yale game, UMass is unbeaten in the Mullins Center this season at 4-0-3…When allowing 4 or more goals this year, UMass is 0-6-1, however, when cutting that to 3-or-fewer, UMass is 4-1-3…Holding a lead or being tied after 2 periods has also been a good omen for UMass this year as the Minutemen are 4-1-3 (0-6-1 when trailing)…UMass broke a string of three games with under 30 shots in the tie against Harvard and is now 3-2-4 when generating 30+ shots on goal in a game…Of UMass 15 games this season, only three have been decided by more than two goals (4 ties, 2 by one goal, 6 by 2 goals)…UMass will face former assistant coach Red Gendron on Wednesday vs. Yale.

UMASS-LOWELL: The River Hawks secured a weekend sweep of UNH, winning 3-2 in the Tsongas Center on Friday and 5-3 in the Whittemore Center on Saturday. A record breaking crowd of 6,826, the largest in program history, attended Friday night’s home game. Saturday’s win was the program’s first in Durham, NH since 2003. UMass Lowell was out-shot in the first period of Saturday’s game, 29-10—breaking the team’s records for shots against in a period (29), saves in a period (28) and the River Hawk goaltenders’ record for saves in a period (Doug Carr – 28). Carr’s .935 save percentage tied for fifth highest in the NCAA. Carr also holds the nation’s sixth best GAA (1.78). The weekend sweep marked the first time the River Hawks picked up two wins against New Hampshire in a weekend since Mar. 9-10, 2001 in the Hockey East playoffs.

MERRIMACK: Merrimack suffered its first two losses of the season, getting swept by Providence for the first time since 2007…Earlier in the week, Merrimack received 82 of 84 first-place votes, earning the #1 ranking nationally for the second straight week and second time in school history…Merrimack was the last unbeaten team in the country, and the first to enter December without a loss in at least 15 years…The loss at Lawler Arena Saturday was Merrimack’s first home defeat in 307 days (January 21, 2011 vs. Lowell). They were 12-0-1 in their previous 13 home games and 30-5-3 since the beginning of the 2009-10 season...Merrimack did extend its sellout streak to 11 games dating back to last year…Saturday’s 6-1 loss was Merrimack’s worst loss at Lawler since a 6-1 defeat to BC on January 12, 2007…It also marked the first time this season the Warriors allowed more than two goals in a game.

NEW HAMPSHIRE: UNH dropped a home-and-home series with UMass Lowell. The Wildcats fell to 0-6-2 on the road with a 3-2 loss on Friday night in Lowell. UNH rallied in the third with a goal and outshot the River Hawks 19-8, but could not erase the two-goal deficit... On Saturday night, New Hampshire stormed out of the gate outshooting UMass Lowell 28-10 in the first. The River Hawks scored in the final minute of the first to tie it at 1-1 after one and go on to win 5-3... New Hampshire outshot UML 48-32 on the night...Justin Agosta dished out his first collegiate assist on Friday night and followed that up with his first career goal on Saturday night...Casey Thrush and Stevie Moses each registered a goal and an assist Saturday night...After a score-less second period Friday night, the Wildcats scored in the final four periods of the weekend.

NORTHEASTERN: Northeastern reinforced its 4-1 victory over Michi-gan this weekend with a two-game sweep of #2/3 Notre Dame, becom-ing the first opponent to win a game at the Irish’s brand new facility, the Compton Family Ice Arena. The Huskies smashed Notre Dame, 9-2, in the opener and backed it up with a sound 2-1 performance on the backend. On Friday, the Huskies offered up 12 points scorers, eight of which turned in multi-point efforts, to power Northeastern’s most lopsided victory since bowling over Dartmouth, 7-0, on Jan. 2, 2010. The last time Northeastern reached the nine-goal plateau was at Mat-thews Arena against Connecticut on Oct. 11, 2002 (10-1). In that game, freshman Ludwig Karlsson became the first Husky to notch four points since Chris Donovan turned the trick against Boston College on Feb. 2, 2009 (1-3-4) and is first NU player to record four assists since Mike Morris accomplished the feat at UML on Jan. 19, 2007...The Huskies have assembled their first five-game winning streak since the 2009-10 season (Feb. 5-19). The victory over Notre Dame on Dec. 3 marks the first time NU has ever won three-consecutive games against teams from the CCHA. Steve Quailer has notched a career-best six-game point streak and has logged 11 points along the way (4-7-11).

PROVIDENCE COLLEGE: Providence’s overtime win over No. 1 Mer-rimack on Friday was its first over a top-ranked team since January 3, 2003, when PC defeated Maine…In addition, it was the Friars’ first overtime win since February 9, 2008…On Saturday, it marked the first time that Providence scored five power-play goals since November 4, 1994 (a 6-6 game at Merrimack)…It was the first Hockey East road win for the Friars since October 31, 2009 and it also marked the first win at Merrimack’s Lawler Arena since March 3, 2007…The Friars, who scored 15 power-play goals last season, already have 18 through the first 15 games this season…In addition, Providence already has five short-handed goals, two more than all of last season…Six of the eight goals scored by Providence over the weekend came via special teams (SHG, 5 PPG)…The first line of Matt Bergland, Tim Schaller and Drew Brown combined for 10 points in Saturday’s victory, including four (1g,3a) by Bergland…PC has posted a 3-1-1 mark against ranked teams thus far, including a 3-0 record against teams in the top-10…Providence’s eight overall wins has equaled last season’s and its six Hockey East triumphs has surpassed the 2010-11 campaign (4).
