Personality Development at Olympia College

Realizing the need of developing one’s self especially to new students who are facing a lot of challenges

and changes in trying to adapt to new environment, Olympia College, Kuala Lumpur campus had

conducted a seminar cum workshop facilitated by Ms Hannah Billones and Ms Defani Savaer in

personality development.

The personality development workshop aims to develop among new students’ good academic and

personality traits and help them make academic and personal adjustments to new environment.

Ms Hannah and Ms Defani tackled in the areas of personal grooming, adjustment and coping habits,

motivation as well as socialising skills. It was an interactive workshop whereby students participated in

discussions, shared their funny and serious experiences, drew their good and bad habits and found their

emotional maturity quotient.

According to Brian Param, the Principal of the Kuala Lumpur campus, “Personality development is

important in all areas of an individual’s life, be with friends, in the college or office or in any other

environment.”

“Personality plays a huge role in our development as better persons. In fact, it helps shape us in society as

a whole. Our personality may also determine how we effectively or ineffectively relate to other people. In

spite of this, it is never too late to develop one’s personality to be a better personality.” added Brian.

“There is nothing better than exposing and giving our students a chance to apply their knowledge in a real

world scenario which helps them get employed the first time around with the right personality.” added

Brian.

Olympia College’s cutting edge and industry oriented Diplomas will equip students with the right

professional skills required by any multi-national corporations.

The Diploma programmes at Olympia College was developed in consultation with CEO’s, Senior

Managers and the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) to help fill the gap for competent middle

managers in the industry.

The graduates from the selected diplomas will also be recognized for exemptions and on completion of an

integrated project will also be awarded the prestigious Higher National Diploma (HND) from Edexcel,

UK.

The HND guarantees entry into the final year of an undergraduate degree to over 40 universities in UK,

USA and Australia.

The diploma programmes in areas of IT were developed in consultation with IT experts from India and is

one of the few IT programmes in Malaysia that attracts quite a number of international and local students

because of its graduate employability record.
